I was on court 12 where I got to see plenty of 2026 prospects put their talents on full display. Here are five of Fridays Top Performers from Hy-Vee Arena.
Cooper Crawford Cooper Crawford 6'6" | PF Lansing | 2026 State KS | KC Spurs Wing 2026/Lansing HS (KS)
Crawford showed out to be a 6’6 playmaking wing. He’d catch it on the perimeter, attack the basket and was constantly finding his teammates for buckets or open shots. He’s very long and versatile. Blew by nearly every time he touched the ball. Used his long strides when attacking the basket and his ability to slide through traffic to create offense for his squad. Grabbed quite a few boards on the defensive end and was able to alter shots as well.
Jayden Boggess | KC Spurs Wing 2026/Washington HS (KS)
I really enjoyed watching Boggess solely because of his hustle. Not only is he a pest of an on-ball defender but he was on the ground for lose balls time after time. He’s very quick laterally and was creating havoc and getting steals while guarding ball. He is also great off-ball. Active and has great anticipation as he was able to walk away with some steals in passing lanes as well. He runs the floor in transition and is an unselfish ball handler on the break.
Blayne Marshall Blayne Marshall 6'1" | PG Blue Springs South | 2026 State MO | Marcus Denmon Elite 2026/Bishop Miege (KS)
Marshall is a 6’0 guard that is a very quick ballhandler with some acceleration and bursts of speed on his way to the rim. Provided a big spark off the bench and helped contribute to MDE’s long run late in 1st half vs LTD. He uses his acceleration to leave defenders in the dust then finishes at the rim with great touch, draws plenty of fouls as well and gets to the line. Quick on-ball defender that keeps ball handlers in front. Very impactful at the top of MDE’s press forcing turnover after turnover.
Will Wolf | Mavericks Elite 2026-1/Orchard Farms (MO)
Wolf is a 5’10 guard that can really score it at a high clip. On Friday night he was showing that he could score at both the rim and from downtown. Showed off some tough finishes in transition that also involved some IQ, in which he created contact, drew a foul, and put himself in position to finish pretty easily. He’s quick and can create off of one move and get by his man but can also knock it down from deep.
Shawn McConnell | LTD Select Light Blue 2026/Gardner-Edgerton HS (KS)
McConnell played a huge part in LTD Select Light Blues game Friday night on both ends of the floor. Both sides he was all over the boards. He puts himself in great position to grab rebounds then lets his leaping ability do the rest. At times he would just soar through the air and come away with a board. He’s a strong finisher down low and utilized pump fakes to get defenders off their feet. He really stepped it up when his team was down and stood out because of that.
