Gavin Cecere
Gavin Cecere
Cecere showcased his consistent 3pt range all weekend. In the games I watched him, he did a phenomenal job sprinting the floor to get his feet set to shoot. He never rushed his shot or even attempted a bad shot. I loved the way he relocated without the ball after he made the pass to find open spaces to shoot. Has a smooth left handed shot. Beautiful form.
Solomon Collins
Solomon Collins
Collins is another player with a beautiful left handed, compact shot. Has great 3pt range for being so young. His compact stroke allows him to extend beyond 3pt range. Has a quick release and moved well all weekend without the ball. Was almost automatic when he got his feet set to shoot.
Parker Sanders
Parker Sanders
Sanders is a tough shot taker and maker who can make shots both off the catch and dribble. Did a good job noticing when defenders hands were down to shoot over them using his size. Made an impressive 3 off a pick and roll to display what he is capable of doing. He didn’t shoot a great percentage this weekend due to his high volume of shots, but you could tell he is a shot maker who can get hot quick.
Kyler Goodin
Kyler Goodin
Goodin is a 3 level scorer who can really shoot the basketball. His ability to put the ball on the floor opened up his game all weekend with defenders having to respect his ability to drive. With his size, he can shoot over top of smaller defenders as he has a quick release. I loved him as a trail 3 option in transition as he knocked down a few trailing the play. Love him as a stretch 4 if he keeps growing.
Luca Davis
Luca Davis
Davis is a pick and pop forward with one of best looking jump shots at the event. Played very simple and effective all weekend. Proved to be really good both in the post and on the perimeter. He did a good job floating around the perimeter to find open looks. With his size he made some tough shots with guys in his face. Has tremendous upside.
Mason Hopkins
Mason Hopkins
Hopkins is a fearless shooter that made some clutch shots down the stretch to help Hooks Elite win the 2029 division of the tournament. It seemed like every time I watched them play he made a tough jump shot either from 3pt or 2pt that got them going offensively. Loved that he didn’t let a few missed shots hurt his confidence as he kept shooting. Could develop into a big time scorer.
Ben Warren
Ben Warren
Warren has an overall solid all around game, but his strength this weekend was shooting. I would have liked to see him be a little bit more aggressive offensively, but he played within himself and only took good open shots. He knocked down what seemed to be every open kick out he got. He is a player that probably could be more selfish moving forward and take a few more shots but I think with how he played he really helped his team. Great looking shots.
Gabe Pridemore
Gabe Pridemore
Pridemore is already a polished stretch 4. Has great skill and feel for the game to move and get open shots. As he gets stronger, he will be able to create space after screens to make 3’s from deep 3pt range. His size allows him to shoot over defenders as he has an effortless shot. Pridemore’s game fits the modern day of basketball of making 3’s and lay-ups. Love his game.
