These are the players that consistently do the little things such as diving for loose balls, making the extra pass, or just being consistent and always making the right play. It’s important to have these guys on your team.
Keandre Simon
Keandre Simon
Simon is an ultra tough point guard that doesn’t back down from nobody. Although he was one of the smallest guys on the floor, he fought every possession and had a huge impact on the game. He wasn’t afraid sticking his nose in to help with rebounding or get on ball steals. He took some hard falls all weekend but he got right up and kept fighting.
Deante Wilson
Deante Wilson
Wilson is another small guard that just absolutely competed all weekend. He was versatile in that he knew the plays at all of the guard spots so he rarely came off the floor. What I liked about him is his teammates seemed to really like playing with him. He made all the simple plays and got teammates open shots.
Myles Noble
Myles Noble
Noble is the ultimate glue guy. He made most of his open looks when he got them, he never really forced shots and played with an extremely high motor all weekend. With how hard he played, he wore teams out and by the end of games was when he really took advantage offensively. He always seemed to come away with every lose ball that was in his vicinity.
Cory Flinchman
Cory Flinchman
Flinchman is a high motor playing forward that can defend 2-5. Has good size to come up with lose balls and tough rebounds. Played hard and was in the correct spots weak side all weekend to make up for defensive mistakes of his teammates. Flinchman is a winner and makes winning plays. Everyone needs a guy like him on their team.
Rahjon Woodson
Rahjon Woodson
Woodson absolutely attacked the boards all weekend which stood out to me. No matter if it was on the offensive or defensive end it didn’t matter. He was very successful crashing the offensive glass from the wing as he has good athleticism and size. He was also comfortable filling in and playing any of the positions on the court. Woodson did all the little things for Hoops Elite which made him an important piece for them.
