Guards Ready for More

He will step into a much bigger role, particularly with the graduation of all-state point guard [player_tooltip player_id='1454191' first='Owen' last='Evans']. Dietz will likely take over the point guard role next year. He's a penetrator who can get where he wants and has an eye for finding shooters. He is showing with the Spurs that he is an under-control ball handler and makes smart plays with the ball. He's quick and strong and a handsy defender. He surely learned quite a bit subbing for stud seniors Mac Armstrong, [player_tooltip player_id='1080167' first='Jason' last='Rodriguez'] and company. Miege graduates a ton of seniors, and Marshall is setting himself up for lots of playing time by running the talented Marcus Denmon 2026 group. Moland is a solid ballhandler who makes distribution his primary job. He's a quick and active defender too.
