Johnson-Cool was a big target for team Illinois all weekend. His ability to see the floor in the high post gave his teammates a lot of flow to their game. His athleticism allowed him to fill up the second chance category. He stood out the most in transition and consistently beat his matchup to the spot.
Christian Bartl | CBA North
Bartl was a reliable source of points in the paint for CBA North. The slithery forward was able to spin middle and baseline and make impactful plays for his team. Bartl was most impressive as a post playmaker and as an anchor in the painted area on the defensive end.
Donovan Davis | Next Level Grind
Davis starred in his role controlling the painted area for the 14U champions. He provided flow on the offensive end with high IQ reads and showed great instincts on the defensive end boarding the ball for Next Level Grind.
Jaquan Turner | Wisconsin Playground Club
Turner starred in his role for a stacked Wisconsin Playground Club. He was very effective altering shots near the basket as well as extending possessions on the offensive boards. Turner was at his best filling the lanes in transition.
Owen Kirby | Team Illinois
Kirby has great size at the forward position with guard-like mobility in the half court. He proved to be a floor spacer for Team Illinois, finding teammates in the shooting pocket and also knocking down shots himself. The lengthy forward was a viable rim protector and energy giver. He was impactful all weekend.
Judah Sterling | Powerhouse
Sterling made his mark in the mid range area for Powerhouse. The mobile forward was hard to contain when spinning middle or baseline and getting to the basket. He was very effective moving without the ball as well finding gaps in zones and helping defenders. His consistent and balanced attack made them a threat for a talented Powerhouse team.
