Herly Brutus
Herly Brutus
An all-around star, it’s hard to believe Brutus just wrapped his high school freshman campaign with what he can already bring to the table. At 6-6, Brutus is an elite defender with the ability to guard multiple positions, but really thrives when he’s locking somebody up on the perimeter. Offensively, the rising sophomore does not fear anybody when attacking the basket and has no problem finishing through the toughest of contact.
An all-around difference maker, Lewis was impacting the game in multiple ways for the Florida Rebels squad throughout Saturday. Whether it came from making a big defensive stop on one end, and then following it up with a ferocious slam on the other, Lewis was proving why he’s one of the best players on the floor anytime out. At 6-7, the Blake High School product uses his long arms to perfection to contest shots and pull down a ton of boards.
One of the top remaining unsigned 2023 products, Djobet proved what kind of impact he can make at the next level. With elite footwork and shotmaking ability, Djobet can make the toughest shots look easy with his body control and finishing around the basket. Along with being a great playmaker, the floor general possesses a strong handle and vision to find his teammates in their shooters pocket that lead to easy assists.
One of the purest scorers from any team, Shackleford was a walking bucket all day Saturday. A true three-level scorer, the 2024 guard can score in a multitude of ways, but is especially tough from the catch and shoot with his knockdown jumper. Along with this, the junior’s quick first steps helps him elevate on the way to the basket.
Boosie Swan
Boosie Swan
There may not be many freshman point guards in the country with the combination of skill, IQ and demeanor that Boosie Swan has. As the floor general for his Florida Rebels squad, Swan is an elite decision maker, often one step ahead to slice up whatever the defense threw his way. And the way it naturally comes easy to him on the offensive end, translates near perfectly defensively as well. An aggressive but smart defender, Swan forces a ton of steals with his intelligence and ability to read his matchup.
