PH NorCal was in Oakland at the Open Gym Premier Facility for the Elite Hoops Spring Challenge hosted by NBBA, Lakeshow, and NorCal Elite 3 quality programs in NorCal. This 2025 group grabbed our attention with their productivity on the court this weekend
Cole Loud 6’2 G, Bishop O’Dowd, Lakeshow 16’s Elite Adidas Gold
Loud put on a show this weekend, he was one of the top Sophs in the gym. He played hard on both ends, giving maximum effort. His ability to get into the paint, play through contact, and finish in different ways was impressive. He had good body control, no charges. He pulled up for mid-range jumpers, and hit an occasional 3ptr. He has a good defensive stance and stays in front of whoever he’s guarding. We’ll see more of him.
Elijah Perryman Elijah Perryman 6'2" | PG Clayton Valley Charter | 2025 State CA-N 6’3 G, Clayton Valley Charter, NorCal Elite 17’s Red
He’s an excellent ball handler and decision maker, he plays at a good pace, with the speed to turn things up when he’s going to get a bucket. He’s lengthy with a good skill set. He can run point, and work off the ball. He has that burst to get by defenders, and a long reach to challenge at the rim. He can hit the short jumper and 3ptrs. He’s an excellent defender with the length and movements to guard.
Christian Trusclair 6’2 G, Jesse Bethel, NBBA 16U UA Rise
It was our first look at Trusclair. He plays a good all around game, he has the ability to put points on the board, he wants the ball. He has good foot speed and a first step that allows him to get inside to finish with his inside hand. He runs the court pretty well looking to operate from the wings when he gets the ball, he’ll put up a 3 or make a nice pass. He’ll help rebound, and work to defend. We’ll see more of him.
Isaiah Dixon 6’3 W/F, Wood, Lakeshow 16’s Elite, Adidas Gold
Standing 6’3, he looks like a versatile defender guarding in the post and out on the perimeter. He’s shown a good offensive set of skills. He can handle and operate away from the basket, in transition, and on the perimeter, he had a couple of strong baseline drives. He worked from the mid-post, faced up, and drove it into the paint for jumpers. He’ll rebound, handle the ball in transition with good passing.
Avery Sanchez Avery Sanchez 6'2" | PG Pitman | 2025 State CA-N 6’1 CG, Pitman, Lakeshow 16’s Elite, Adidas Gold
We like Avery’s ability to work both guard positions. He has point guard skills, and does an excellent job of running things at the top. He has passing, vision, and makes a conscious effort to involve others. He can gather points working off the ball, with a good shot from behind the arc, using his dribble for mid-range jumpers and floaters into the paint.
Tatum Kurpinsky 6’1 SG, Cloverdale, NBBA 16U UA Rise
He’s a hard playing guard that hustles up and down the court. He goes hard for drives along the baseline. When he gets into the paint he shows patience on two feet baiting bigs to jump, and draw the foul. He’s a good shooter from the 3pt line. He has the catch and shoot in the corner or dropping deep 3’s on the perimeter. He has a good release.
Tomas Bruzoni 6’5 W/F, Bellarmine College Prep, CPBC
We think he was the only 2025 prospect to play 17U Platinum at this event. It was our first look at Bruzoni. He’s a good sized wing forward. He has a decent skill set, that looks like improvements are on the way. He did a good job of helping on the boards and running the court. He spotted up for corners 3’s, he hit one at the top coming down in transition. He played well off two feet in the paint. He threw down a two handed dunk off two under the rim. He was on the JV during HS basketball. He’s on our Watch List
