Early April Grassroots Evaluations: Part I

The smaller guard was a big scorer for Oak Ridge's Wildcats in 2022-2023. Pro One TN 17u features more scorers than his Oak Ridge team, and specifically more size, so KB scores less. Still, in a couple of moments he dashed like a blur to the rim. Brightharp is tougher than expected, largely with his mental toughness. The body frame is very slight though he can take a bump. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1195250' first='Jett' last='Montgomery'] (STARS Nashville 17u)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Jett scored 15 against a strong Game Elite team and 18 against AOT. Game Elite is a team of college bound athletes, so the scoring total is encouraging.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1659744' first='Grady' last='Robertson'] (Pro One TN 17u-Brewster)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Grady did a lot of what he did in the PrepHoopsTN Fall Combine, which was then and is now impressive. A tall, effective guard, Grady makes so many subtle, impactful plays all over the floor. He looks like a future college guard, without a doubt. Grady's versatility makes him an intriguing prospect. He can handle and dribble well, not yet elite, but it looks attainable. When trapped in the backcourt, by a Pro One TN-Garner press, Grady comfortably found an open teammate largely with his height. GR's shooting touch will always be better than average and yet he does not force shots. The junior consistently looks comfortable playing within a system or deferring to a teammate, if needed. Solid.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Camden Cole</strong> <strong>(Brigade Basketball Club 15u)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Brigade ran up a four-win weekend at the GRIT Region Kickoff. Camden lead the team with 20.75 points per game and 10.25 rpg.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1305604' first='Caden' last='Windle']</strong> <strong>(Pro One TN 17u-Brewster)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Few players have developed as much as [player_tooltip player_id='1305604' first='Caden' last='Windle'] in the last year. He put on good weight in the chest and shoulders and arms. Windle had an enormous year in high school basketball and continues to score at an alarming rate. Windle always gets his eyes up early at the rim. He can score from a number of points on the floor.
