Max McMullen
Max McMullen
McMullen was one of the most exciting players I saw all day. He does such a good job of probing the lane and drawing the defense in before hitting the open man. He scores from practically anywhere and his floater is lethal. McMullen plays with good tempo and likes to push in transition. McMullen has a high IQ, loves to hit the open teammate, and plays the game hard.
Brayden Holland
Brayden Holland
Holland plays with high intensity and seems to be everywhere on the floor. He can hit the open 3, finish with both hands exceptionally well, and run the floor nicely. Holland understands how to position himself in spots where he can find success. His rebounding efforts are relentless and his hands and feet are always active on D. Holland is a very well-rounded player.
Moses Oyedokun
Moses Oyedokun
Oyedokun was very impressive in the game I saw. He plays with constant energy and great physicality. He rebounds at such a high level, and thanks to his solid ball-handling skills for his size, he is able to grab-n-go on a defensive board. He shows good patience around the rim and has a knack for drawing fouls. Oyedokun takes high percentage shots and has a great passion for the game.
Zion Dawson
Zion Dawson
Dawson is a scrappy defender who gets a ton of steals. Hes’s incredibly quick which allows him to jump the passing lanes, get steals, and turn those into transition scores for himself or a teammate. Dawson plays with a high IQ and takes smart shots. He can score in the paint or perimeter and uses changes in his speed to do just that. Dawson is most effective as a facilitator.
Drew Lenz
Drew Lenz
The way Lenz moves on the floor looks like he’s years ahead of his competition. He is a smart and crafty scorer who does so from all three levels. He’s got a high IQ and is a really good passer. Something that really stands out in his game is his ability to create off the dribble, whether it’s a gorgeous dime or a score of his own. He has a pretty jumper with good mechanics and even shoots it above his head in the mid and close range, allowing him to shoot over the top of the D. Lenz is a very sound player.
Colt Kessel
Colt Kessel
Talk about setting the nets on fire, Kessel is a human torch. He pulls it from just about anywhere on the court and heats up quickly. Kessel doesn’t need much room to get his shot off and is hard to stop once he gets going. He’s also more than a shooter, displaying good decision making as a ball-handler and passer. Kessel hit four 3’s in the game I saw.
