Next Level Athletics SC Duo Looking:
Corean Nelson Corean Nelson 6'0" | CG Crestwood | 2023 State SC and Khalil Bledsoe Khalil Bledsoe 6'1" | SG Sumter | 2023 State SC are currently with Next Level Athletics SC out of the Sumter area. Nelson came out on fire on the opening night with 23 points. Corean was scoring everything on the way to the cup and finishing drives. Nelson who attends Crestwood HS lost in the Class 3A State Championship this past March to Wren HS.
Corean wants to play fast and a bit chaotic at times. He plays his best basketball in attack mode to the bucket. Nelson changes directions and gets by defenders in the open court quite easily at times.
Bledsoe played down the road at Sumter HS. Khalil does his best work from behind the three-point line as a catch-shoot player. Bledsoe connected on some jumpers here today and always seems to be ready to receive the ball in the pocket.
Hurricanes Duo Still Available:
Chrisean Oree Chrisean Oree 6'3" | CG Keenan | 2023 State SC and Jaylen Golston Jaylen Golston 6'4" | SF Keenan | 2023 State SC both attend Keenan HS in Columbia. This Raiders duo has won plenty of games over the years for Keenan HS. Oree has been a focal point over the years for the Raiders and is currently running with the Palmetto City Hurricanes on the Grassroots Circuit. Chrisean really looks to score the ball from all 3 levels on the floor. He won’t hesitate to take a tough shot at times and certainly wants the ball in the clutch. Chrisean is a GAMER with some swag to go with it.
Golston is a great mismatch guy at times with his ability to face-up and knockdown some jumpers or post up and battle inside the paint. Jaylen is an absolute “JYD” on the floor. He can play multiple positions along with defend multiple people. Today he connected on some three-pointers then brought the ball up the floor and then on defense turned around and defended the post.
Not Flashy At All:
Ian Goings Ian Goings 6'3" | SF Lugoff-Elgin | 2023 State SC won’t overwhelm you with anything he does on the floor. Goings a left-handed forward looks like a player you would find at the college professors’ game at noon on Friday. Ian has an old-school vibe to him on the floor. He really plays the game with good energy and surely doesn’t lack any effort while playing. Ian attended Lugoff-Elgin HS and runs with the Carolina Pressure 2024.
Big Shots SC Select Has A Full Roster of Players:
Jehqwauyn Hilton Jehqwauyn Hilton 6'6" | SF Manning | 2023 State SC , Ty Bennett Ty Bennett 6'0" | CG Carolina Forest | 2023 State SC , Lamonte Cousar Lamonte Cousar 6'6" | SF Scotland | 2023 State NC and Da’Quan Amlett Da’Quan Amlett 6'3" | SG Goose Creek | 2023 State SC are just some the young men on this roster still looking for a school next fall. Jy Gladden Jy Gladden 6'2" | CG Lancaster | 2023 State SC recently committed to Francis Marion University.
Hilton a long and rangy forward prefers to play finesse out on the perimeter. He seems to most effective at times around the cup altering and challenging shots on the defensive end. He could be an ideal rim-runner at the next level if he commits to his game. The potential is certainly there for the college level. Hilton attends Manning HS.
Bennett is a scrappy guard who really likes to attack the cup. He really likes to attack the baseline and get to the basket. Ty certainly plays the game to the fullest all times while on the floor. Bennett attends Carolina Forest HS in Myrtle Beach.
Cousar was showcasing his perimeter skills here today that I have never seen before from him. Lamont has a thicker frame and good set of shoulders to knock some people around at times. Cousar attends Scotland HS in Laurinburg, NC. Lamont averaged 21.3 ppg and 8.9 rebounds this season for the Scots while also eclipsing 1,000 career points.
Amlett helped Goose Creek HS get to the Class 5A State Championship this past season. Da’Quan really brings a good presence on the defensive end of the floor. He plays the game very active in the passing lanes with his length. The left-handed athletic Amlett likes to play the game as a slasher.
Some Other Grand Strand Notables Available:
Khalil Campbell Khalil Campbell 6'4" | PF Conway | 2023 State SC helped Conway HS get to the Class 5A Lower State Championship before falling to Goose Creek HS. Campbell plays the game bigger than his size and with a great motor. He’s constantly moving around the floor looking for an edge. Khalil currently is running with Flight 22 17U Elite on the Grassroots Circuit.
Ashton Dupee Ashton Dupee 5'10" | CG Socastee | 2023 State SC isn’t a big name outside the area of the Grand Strand. Dupee really showed some good flashes of play this weekend with Team Fusion. Ashton attends Socastee HS in Myrtle Beach. He was constantly around the ball to make a play while finishing drives to the buckets. He led his squad to some wins this past weekend at Big Shots Carolina Live.
