The event, which is operated by West Coast Elite, featured tons of programs from around the southwest. It also featured several talented future prospects, including some really good Floor Generals. In this article, we take a look at some of the top Point Guards from the event.
Titus McNair
Titus McNair
Has a good combination of skill and fundamentals. Showed an advanced handle, putting together a few COD’s, including crossovers and between the legs.
Enzo Drake
Enzo Drake
Has a strong handle and good quickness. He was able to get by his defender in 1 v 1 situations, and used his speed to push the ball up the court in transition situations.
CJ Johnson
CJ Johnson
Has several different skills, including defending, and rebounding. Competitive PG is a glue guy type player who provided valuable intangibles to the squad, as well as an ability to hit open jumpers.
Ben Konovon
Ben Konovon
Konovon showed up to the game I watched late, but he was right on time during the game. Has decent skill, including the ability to make a couple tough shots with a hand in his face. He was a good finisher, making his layup attempts in during the game.
Demitrius Dupuis
Demitrius Dupuis
One of the youngest players on the floor played with some of the highest level of confidence. Lefty showed a strong handle, and already seems to have a signature shot, as he hit several in the lane push shots throughout the game I watched.
Seanie Taylor
Seanie Taylor
I like players that can do it on both sides of the ball. Seanie was one of the better two way players I saw. Competitive guard was good at making in traffic layups, and played strong on ball defense against opposing ballhandlers.
JD Dubose
JD Dubose
Had one of the better performances I saw. The lefty finished rim drives with both hands, showing a decent ability to use his off hand. He was fast, and played with good pace, keeping players off balance, allowing the PG to get paint touches whenever he wanted.
Jaylen Seeley
Jaylen Seeley
Basketball U had a couple of studs, and Seeley was one of them. Had a good handle, and liked to use a good COD, to allude defenders and get into the lane. The scoring PG played with good ball speed, and showed an evolving finishing game.
Micah Nitifan
Micah Nitifan
Hadn’t layed eyes on Nitifan in almost a year, so I’m glad I got to see him. He’s another Glue guy type, that helped his squad in a variety of ways. He was getting his Rip Hamilton on, playing with a mask after suffering a broken nose in a previous game. He played tough and with moxie, and was an unselfish playmaker, setting his teammates up for easy layups on the break in the game I saw.
