Max Hurt Max Hurt 6’0″ | CG Oak Grove | 2025 State NC is a name at Oak Grove High to keep an eye on with his ability to push the pace and attack the basket. He uses his size and frame in a variety of ways to knock down shots on all three levels with confidence. He showed off his ability to make shots off the bounce and is a name to get to know in the 2025 class. He’s got a bright future ahead of him on the wing with his ability to make plays for himself and others in the backcourt.
Dimetrious Jones Dimetrious Jones 6’1″ | CG Freedom Christian Academy | 2025 State NC is an emerging guard to get to know in the Freedom Christian Academy rotation in the 910 area after showing off what he could do as a shooting threat on the wing in 2022-23. He produced 14.9 ppg, 2.7 spg, 2.6 rpg and 1.8 apg as his squad went 7-3 in NCISAA Sandhills Conference during his sophomore campaign. He’s capable of knocking down shots on the perimeter and creating opportunities off the bounce with his size and frame. He’s a name to keep an eye on Freedom Mentality on the grassroots scene this spring/summer.

Curtis Jackson Curtis Jackson 6’3″ | CG White Oak | 2025 State NC is a new face to keep an eye on in the 2025 class with White Oak High out of the Jacksonville area. He led by example on the varsity stage this past year with his ability to attack the basket and knock down shots. He had himself a productive sophomore season leading the way for the Vikings in 2022-23 with 13.2 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 3.0 apg and 1.5 spg as they went 9-1 in the conference and 21-6 on the season in the 3A East ranks. He’s got a bright future ahead of him in the class and is one to keep an eye on with Truth Elite Basketball.
Kellen Karr Kellen Karr 6’5″ | SF North Lincoln | 2025 State NC is a 2025 prospect out of North Lincoln High to keep eyes on in the Triad area. He’s a sophomore name that put up a double-double average in 2022-23 as a key cog in the North Lincoln rotation with 14.9 ppg, 10.2 rpg, 4.9 apg, 2.7 spg and 1.5 bpg while shooting 50 percent from the field and 36 percent from behind the arc. He’s a 6-foot-5 intriguing wing prospect that can operate inside and out on both ends of the floor with his length and athleticism. He’ll be a name to keep eyes on on the grassroots cycle with Carolina Riptide Kody.
Ben Fox Ben Fox 6’3″ | SG East Wake | 2025 State NC is a name to get to know after he showed his growth on the hardwood at East Wake High. He put up 9.4 ppg, 2.7 apg, 1.9 rpg and 1.0 spg while knocking down 57 3-pointers in his sophomore season. He’s a combo guard with a ton of potential as a shooting threat on the perimeter. He’s one to watch with Knightdale Hustle on the grassroots scene.

CJ Kornegay CJ Kornegay 6’5″ | SF New Hanover | 2025 State NC is a versatile name to get to know out of the Wilmington area at Hoggard High. He finished his sophomore campaign putting up 8.6 ppg, 4.5 rpg and 1.5 apg as a versatile wing presence for his Vikings’ counterparts in the 2022-23 on the varsity scene while shooting 59 percent from the floor as a clean-up guy on the boards and downhill threat off the bounce as his squad went 20-9 on the year. He’s another 2025 prospect with a bright future in the state running with Flight 22 on the grassroots cycle.
EJ Sutton EJ Sutton 6’8″ | PF Northeastern | 2025 State NC is a versatile forward name to watch in the East out of Northeastern High. He’s a 6-foot-5 prospect that can operate on the wing and in the post as a paint threat with his length, size and athleticism. He played sparingly on the var5sity squad this past season but he’s a 2025 name to keep eyes on with this group alongside Tyell Saunders Tyell Saunders 6’2″ | CG Northeastern | 2025 State NC in the state due to have a strong career on the hardwood. He’ll run with Wave Basketball Club this grassroots season.
