King Keary King Keary 6'2" | PG Goodpasture | 2025 VA started in his third straight State Championship Game Saturday. His freshman appearance was excellent. This sophomore showing was very good. King kept his dribble alive, which made defending the point guard exhausting. Keary’s greatest skill is passing, but most importantly perhaps, he does not take bad shots or try to force shots. Young, skilled players often take poor shots simply because they can. King is a smart, mature young player and his team greatly benefits from his poised play.
Unmatched athleticism. Though Goodpasture really leans on his post play, Jayden Jones Jayden Jones 6'4" | SF Goodpasture | 2025 State #389 Nation TN projects as a high-major wing. His ranking can not improve, as the sophomore was #1 a year ago, with an eye to the sky above. Still, JJ continues to be more and more impressive. Though expected, this is enjoyable to watch occur.
Jones scored nine of his team’s first 15 points, mostly around the rim. He finished the first half with 11 points on 4-9 shooting. The four rebounds made an enormous difference too.

Gaas Herman Gaas Herman 6'3" | SG Notre Dame Chattanooga | 2025 State TN (Notre Dame) shot blisteringly hot in the first quarter. In fact, he scored eight points early, helping the Irish out to an early lead. He could not sustain, nor could his teammates, that hot shooting throughout. Herman looks like a D2 college basketball player given time to develop. Nice handle and obviously capable of shooting it.

Garrison Eady Garrison Eady 6'2" | PG Blackman | 2025 State TN (Blackman) is an important reason why the Blaze advanced to the Regoinal Championship, despite starting a single senior. The team did not even really play any juniors or other seniors. The sophomore class, including Dyson Elam Dyson Elam 6'3" | SG Blackman | 2025 State TN , of Blackman bonded and blossomed with Eady maturing into a two-way combo guard. The left-handed guard will only get better at passing and shooting, though he is already better than Class 4A average in both.
