We have 156 listed and another 75 prospects on the Watch List. PH NorCal makes every effort to see and evaluate as many prospects as we can. With a good spring and summer of AAU Basketball prospects can move up, others can move into the rankings, and some will be new additions.
We first spotted the combo guard during the season when he hit multiple 3’s in a game. He’s a good court runner looking to knock down open 3’s in transition or catch and shoot from the corner and perimeter. He’s a mover with or without the ball. He’ll find cutters to the basket, and feed the post with good entry passes. 12pts, 3.2rebs, 2.9asts.
He’s a quick guard with quality handles. He does a good job of slowing things down when the team needs to run a half-court offense. He has the speed to push and vision to pass it up in transition. He can use his dribble to get into the lane for floaters and paint jumpers. He can hit open 3’s. He has the speed and length to defend on ball. 13pts per game.
He’s a good all around prospect who’ll continue to improve. He averaged 9pts a game, and was the 3rd leading scorer on a team that made a deep run in the play-offs before losing to State Champs Oakland. He’ll run hard to fill lanes in transition, he can hit the short jumper, has 3 range, and scores around the basket and will help rebound. We’ll see more of this prospect.
He’s a speedy guard standing about 5’7, with a solid build and leverage to put pressure on defenses in transition basketball. It’s not easy keeping him out of the paint when he decides to attack and challenge bigs. He has a good pull-up shot in transition, he can knock down open 3’s if left unattended. He’s hard to shake when defending on ball.
He’s a good two sport athlete (Football) with room to grow his hoop game. Right now he’s most effective in and around the basket using strength and hops to get points and rebounds. He’s a good finisher in transition. Improving his perimeter game could raise his stock.
A hard playing guard who looks for his shot. He has the ability to create his own shot off the dribble. He attacks hard from the perimeter, looking to get into the paint for jumpers, he doesn’t mind the contact. He comes off screens looking to shoot. He has the range to knock down 3ptrs. He led the team in scoring, 12.3 per game.
He’s an improving player who has some tools to work with. He has good size, but not limited to just the post. He looks for his shot along the perimeter, he has the range, he can use a dribble or two to get closer for his mid-range. He hustle up court, has good passing. We’ll see more of him.
His good all around play helped lead Oakland to the CIF California State Championship in division III. He’s a tough player standing 6’0. He plays hard not concerning himself with points. He’s a player that can guard on the perimeter and make you work for points, take a charge in the paint. He’ll challenge defenders in the paint, he can hit the short jumper, and finish strong taking it to the basket in transition.
