With everyone seemingly wanting to shoot from deep now its no question that this trend will only continue as the game evolves. With that being said there are many great shooters in this class who have already mastered this skill. Here are my top five sharpshooters for the 2024 class.
Goss loves the pull-up three-point shot and can hit off the dribble with ease over anyone. His tight and quick handles allow him to break down defenders and hit step-back threes with very little contest. Goss is always looking for the catch-and-shoot shot in the corner which he is just automatic from that area. His range extends the more threes he makes in the game giving him the ultimate confidence to knock down anything from deep.
Highlights
Frauenheim has an insanely high quick-release shot that makes it almost impossible to get a contest on. Pair that with his big-time confidence and you have a player who can knock down any three-point shot on the court. Frauenheim is always running and tiring defenses out to get open-shot opportunities. The extended range, pull-up, and off-the-dribble shots just come so easy to him throughout a game. He shot 36.6% while hitting 65/179 shots from three and will hit at least two to three of them a game.
Eglinton Manner has a high release with excellent range from beyond the arc. He hits contested three-point shots like it’s nothing which simply does not faze him to shoot more. There isn’t a shot that Eglinton Manner won’t take because he feels he is always open and it’s the defenders’ job to stop him from getting the ball. He loves the catch-and-shoot and can hit the pull-up three with ease.
Highlights
Culuko has a beautiful high-arcing shot once he releases it from his fingertips. The second Culuko steps past the half-court line he is in range. Catch-and-shoot and pull-up jumpers are his bread and butter as he has a quick burst of speed to allow him to get those shots off with zero hesitation. He also needs just a hair of space to get his shot off forcing the defense to constantly focus on him from the start because once he gets hot from deep Culuko won’t miss and will make the defense pay.
Highlights
Cervino’s smooth all-in-one motion shot is a work of art when you watch him shoot the three-ball. He can get into a shooting rhythm with very little hesitation and even does a great job at catching low passes at his feet to get into his shooting form quickly and knock the shot down. His off-dribble step-back move is how he gets most of his open looks behind the arc. Cervino also never stops moving around the court going around off-ball screens to get open opportunities from deep.
