FIRST TEAM

G Jack Stanton Jack Stanton 6'2" | SG Downers Grove North | 2024 State IL , Downers Grove North 2024 – Stanton has been the leader of Downers Grove North’s Cinderella run to the state series. Having already upset Hinsdale Central and Whitney Young, the Trojans Blew out CPS power Kenwood in the UIC Super-Sectional. Stanton led the way with 19 points and five three-pointers.

G Cole Certa Cole Certa 6'4" | SG Bloomington Central Catholic | 2024 #127 Nation FL , Bloomington CC 2024 – He’s been a big stock-riser this season and failed to disappoint in their 2A super-sectional matchup. Certa scored 27 points and was hit shots from all over the floor. Several Big Ten schools have offered Certa a scholarship.

F Macaleab Rich Macaleab Rich 6'4" | SF East St. Louis | 2023 State #261 Nation IL , East St. Louis 2023 – Macaleab Rich Macaleab Rich 6'4" | SF East St. Louis | 2023 State #261 Nation IL was a huge difference-maker for the Flyers. He dropped 24 points and had 13 rebounds knocking off the defending 3A champs. One of the strongest, most athletic players in Illinois heads to his first state championships.

F Wesley Rubin Wesley Rubin 6'8" | PF Simeon | 2023 State IL , Simeon 2023 – Lots of players stood out for Simeon in their big win over Hillcrest. I’m giving Wes Rubin the first team nod. He scored 13 points and made a big impact on the defensive end of the floor. Snagging eight boards with two steals and a block. He also had five assists.

C Owen Freeman Owen Freeman 6'10" | C Moline | 2023 State #179 Nation IL , Moline 2023 – Freeman had a dominant performance for the Maroons. He scored 23 points to go along with nine rebounds and five blocks. Moline rolls past Oswego east into the final four.

SECOND TEAM

G Brayden Fagbemi Brayden Fagbemi 5'11" | PG Benet | 2023 State IL , Benet 2023 – His game-winning shot sent Benet to the DeKalb Super-Sectional. In a dominating win over Rockford Auburn, Fagbemi was eyeing a triple double Monday evening with 16 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists.

F Sam Lewis Sam Lewis 6'5" | SF Simeon | 2023 State IL , Simeon 2023 – Lewis led all Simeon scorers with 17 points and added three steals. It was an all-around effort for the Wolverines in their win against Hillcrest.

F Richard Barron Richard Barron 6'5" | SF St. Ignatius | 2023 State IL , St. Ignatius 2023 – Richard Barron Richard Barron 6'5" | SF St. Ignatius | 2023 State IL scored 21 points in St. Ignatius’s double-overtime win over Grayslake Central. His elite physicality made him a nightmare for Grayslake to handle all evening. Some big plays late on both ends helped secure Ignatius a back-to-back trip down state.

F Jaylan McElroy Jaylan McElroy 6'7" | PF DePaul Prep | 2024 State IL , DePaul Prep 2024 – McElroy had 17 points and 13 rebounds for DePaul as they erased a double-digit fourth quarter deficit to take down Perspectives. McElroy was huge on the glass and established a handful of second-chance opportunitites. A bucket down low tied the game in the final minute.

F Tyson Swanson Tyson Swanson 6'2" | SG Metamora | 2023 State IL , Metamora 2023 – Swanson impressed for Metamora in their win over Marmion. He scored a team-high 19 points and grabbed 5 rebounds.
