With so many players and so much time to evaluate the players, there’s no surprise that there was a lot of movement in the class. In this article, a follow-up to Stockrisers Part 1, we take a look at some Stockrisers from out class of 2023. Rankings.
70↑62 Massey was part of a really productive trio for the Wildcats. The SG is one of the toughest players pound for pound in the state, and he used that toughness to help him grab over four rebounds per game. He moved up 8 spots in the rankings.
73↑68 One of the better sharpshooters in the class, Carter improved his game for the playoff bound Desert Shields. He gets a shot up the rankings moving into the top 70 of the class.
97↑69 It was a trying season for Major, however he performed well considering the circumstances. Major was one of the highest risers after putting together a strong season for the Playoff bound Desert Shields.
122↑72 JPA had a solid year, and a large jump. A quick downhill slasher, he was the leading scorer for Faith, averaging over 13 points per game. He makes a 50 place jump putting him just on the cusp of the top 70.
79↑74 Rodriguez spent a post grad season playing for Desert Valley Prep. The lefty playmaker rises five spots in the rankings.
87↑75 Peter got to see time for a Cougar squad that finished in the top 4 of the 5A conference. The big body banger is a good rebounder, and interior defender. He moves up a dozen spots in the rankings.
85↑77 Was a productive player for the playoff bound Falcons. Roberts averaged over 8 points per game, allowing him to make a jump into the top 80 of the rankings.
102↑99 Smith was a do it all glue guy for the Longhorns. Every championship squad needs a player like Smith. In addition to doing all the little things, he provided some offensive production, putting up almost 9 points per game for the Mountain Division champs.
105↑100 The Las Vegas slasher was an effective two way player. He moves up 5 spots in the rankings after scoring 7 points and grabing 4 rebounds per game for the Wildcats.
124↑108 Pantea shows the depth of the class. He put together a strong season for 2A Lake Mead Christian Academy. The lefty sniper jumps up almost 20 spots in the rankings after averaging almost 10 points per game for a team that won 19 games this season.
125↑109 Ventura was one of the standouts from the 2A division. He lead Lake Mead in scoring, using a dissying array of moves. He’s a strong driver, that does a great job of using head fakes to freeze defenders. The PG moves up almost 20 spots in the rankings after averaging over 21 points per game this season.
