The playoffs have hit the home stretch, seasons have come abruptly short for some but extended on for others. Who are some of the top players from the region in the class of 2024? Let's take a look.

[player_tooltip player_id='1188071' first='Jack' last='Dunbar'] | 6'2" | G | Peters Twp

He's emerged as one of the elite juniors in the region and has been a major part of the Peters Twp playoff push. He's a big bodied guard with a solid handle. He's got a high basketball IQ, nice first step and can use his physical frame to get to the rim through contact. He can get hot in a hurry from deep and has been playing some of his best basketball in the post-season. He'll be one of, if not the, top player in the South Hills next year.

[player_tooltip player_id='991412' first='Tyree' last='Turner'] | 6'1" | G | Greensburg Central Catholic

The Centurions season got cut short in the opening round of states but he's a skilled guard who can run an offense and is a confident ballhandler. He's a physical player who can attack the rim and has emerged as the leader for GCC. He's got a good understanding of the game and will be one of the top players in Westmoreland County next year. He'll be expected to help the Centurions make the leap from "in the mix" to "contender" status in the WPIAL.

[player_tooltip player_id='1187981' first='Elijah' last='Guillory'] | 6'4" | G | Moon Twp

While the Tigers didn't get to make a ton of noise this year in the playoffs, Guillory used the regular season to his advantage. A well built guard with smooth handles and a high basketball IQ, he gets to the rim with purpose. The football player can break down defenders with athleticism but also creates his own shot from deep. He has a D1 offer from Drexel and should continue to increase his exposure as we hit the AAU circuit. Regional D1s like RMU, YSU, Duquesne and St Francis should be looking.

[player_tooltip player_id='1188004' first='Max' last='Hurray'] | 6'2" | G | North Catholic

North Catholic likes to play at two speeds--Fast...and Faster. Both of these tempos suit the high scoring Hurray well. He's a strong guard with good handles who can break down defenders off the bounce, finish strong at the rim and is a high percentage shooter coming off screens. Can defend well and should be one of the top senior guards in the area. He's got scholarship level interest and an offer from U-Mass Lowell. With [player_tooltip player_id='1186069' first='Andrew' last='Maddalon'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1186070' first='Max' last='Rottman'] graduating, this will be his team next winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='1187999' first='Brayden' last='Foster'] | 6'8" | Highlands

Highlands made a nice run through the post season and state tournament and Foster was a big reason why. The 6'8" bruiser may be the top player in the Al-Val. His height is legit, he's got a strong frame and low center of gravity, making him tough to move around in the post. He's got solid footwork and he can operate around the rim and finish with either hand. He's received scholarship level interest and will be given a marquee role as [player_tooltip player_id='991347' first='Jimmy' last='Kunst'] departs the program after his fine run as a scoring guard.
