At first glance the two teams that stand out that are moving over are Cottonwood and Salem Hills who have had great years in the past and as soon as last year. Players like Chris Cox Chris Cox 6'7" | SF AZ Compass Prep | 2024 State AZ join other standout prospects getting recruited by big universities like Kyle Lemke Kyle Lemke 6'9" | C Dixie | 2024 State UT (Dixie) and Owen Mackay Owen Mackay 6'5" | CG Snow Canyon | 2024 State UT (Snow Canyon).
There will be three new coaches in 4A which could change things quickly as it has happened before but 4A is going to be a lot more exciting next year.

These are the teams that we think will be some of the top teams in the new 4A classification.

Cottonwood
Chris Cox Chris Cox 6'7" | SF AZ Compass Prep | 2024 State AZ is one of the better prospects in the Class of 2024 and he will be a tough out as Cottonwood will likely make a big run in state next year.
Ridgeline
With Carson Cox Carson Cox 6'4" | CG Ridgeline | 2024 State UT and Jagger Francom Jagger Francom 6'8" | C Ridgeline | 2024 State UT coming back they have one of the best duo’s returning.
Dixie
Dixie is back at it again and with John Southwick John Southwick 6'3" | SG Utah Prep | 2025 State #234 Nation UT , Jordan Roberts Jordan Roberts 6'0" | PG Dixie | 2024 State UT and Kyle Lemke Kyle Lemke 6'9" | C Dixie | 2024 State UT coming back they will be among the favorites once again.
Snow Canyon
Owen Mackay Owen Mackay 6'5" | CG Snow Canyon | 2024 State UT is a player that can take over and he should be even more improved after this offseason.
Overview
This will be a big opportunity for some of the teams that have struggled in 5A in the past as there is some competitive equity between the teams across the board. Every year there seems to be a crossover tournament that brings teams in the city to play teams in the south. The amount of teams that could play against each other in the pre-season will make for some solid matchups. Overall this expansion will help some of the schools in the North and far South play against more competition in their region.
