Justin Buck of Goodhue (sr). A Goodhue starter that plays an active game as a 6’2 wing defender. He rebounded well (5) but most importantly he was one of the guys getting a hand in the face of Buay Koak Buay Koak 6'4" | SG Lyle-Pacelli | 2023 State MN .
Isaac Fjerstad and Trent Jellum of Hayfield (jr). Isaac and Trent are 6’2/6’3 wings for the Vikings that played reserve roles this year and will move into big roles next year as seniors. Zander Jacobson Zander Jacobson 6'6" | PF Minnesota Valley Lutheran | 2024 State MN will be the focal point and this pair will be the guys getting the ball moved into him, and likely moving into key scoring roles.
Caleb Griffin of Spring Grove (sr). Griffin was on the floor as the corner shooter and and he opened the game with two threes and then down the stretch he made five of six foul shots helping put the Lions into the next round.
Mac Nelson of Lyle/Austin Pacelli (sr). Nelson is that third piece for his team that they rely on to stretch the defense and attack gaps in that defense. Good passer (four assists in the loss) who rebounded hard and hit a pair of threes.
Brett Schultz of Caledonia (sr). Schultz did a nice job for the Warriors off the bench scoring four times including a three. With the Warrior guard play being slowed Schultz provided a spark making four of six shots and scoring nine points in the reserve role.
Jaxon Strinmoen of Spring Grove (jr). Jaxon started the game with three great passes that opened shooters for scores, a three, putting his 6’5 length on players on the wing, and an open floor dunk. It was surely an eye opening five minutes of play. Jaxon continued to do a great job getting length on Isaac Matti Isaac Matti 6'1" | SG Hayfield | 2023 State MN and Ethan Pack Ethan Pack 6'1" | SG Hayfield | 2023 State MN , and he grabbed six boards for the game. Scored 11 points, had four assists and helped his team making four of five foul shots.
Jaden Winchell of Cannon Falls (sr). Cannon Falls spent much of their game with Lake City searching for consistent offense. Dylan Banks Dylan Banks 5'11" | PG Cannon Falls | 2024 State MN and Aiden Johnson Aiden Johnson 6'6" | PF Legacy Christian Academy | 2023 State MN both had pockets of scoring but the defense those juniors faced led to some streaking runs. Winchell stepped up as a third option early hitting back to back threes, and later in the game when the Bombers were within six points (he scored at the rim twice). Rebounded well from his guard spot (5) and set up his teammates for a lot of open chances.
Nick Wozney of PEM (sr). The 5’10 guard played an important role for the Dogs with his eight rebounds and excellent defense helping slow down the Caledonia guard play. Wozney, Brady Herber and Kaiden Peters Kaiden Peters 6'2" | CG Plainview/Elgin-Millville | 2023 State MN all put in great efforts to slow Mason King Mason King 5'11" | PG Caledonia | 2025 State MN and Lewis Doyle Lewis Doyle 6'0" | PG Caledonia | 2024 State MN as it was a team effort. Wozney also hit two threes and scored ten points supporting Aeron Stevens Aeron Stevens 6'7" | PF Plainview-Eligin-Millville | 2023 State MN for the win.
