They kicked off the Spring season with their signature event the Kingz and Queenz of the City tournament which features teams from throughout the west region. Everyone knows how important shooting is to the game, so it was good to see so many young talented shooters. In this article, we take a look at some of the top Snipers from the event.
Isaiah Rider IV
Isaiah Rider IV
Rider is another player that I feel like I have watched for some time. The one thing that has been consistent is his shooting, it was no different this weekend. He was a sniper in the game I watched, knocking down multiple threes, however even if he missed I would have been intriguied as he has some of the best form for a player his age. The Shooting guard, keeps his feet set, and has a quick and consistent release.
Davis Mason
Davis Mason
Mason was an energetic shooter, who moved well without the ball. He showed a quick release on his jumper, knocking down multiple threes in the game I saw.
Browdy Knee
Browdy Knee
Knee is a lean rangy shooter, that shoots the ball with good form, and a textbook release. He played off the ball serving as a floor spacer for the team, knocking down three threes in the game I watched.
Oliver Burbach
Oliver Burbach
Zone 6 had several guys able to shoot the rock. Burbach was one of their top ones on the weekend. A catch and shoot specialist, he burried a couple long range threes in the game I watched.
Elijah Schmidt
Elijah Schmidt
I’m disapointed I didn’t get a chance to get an approximate height. As it is, Schmidt was an effective sniper in catch and shoot action. He knocked down threes from several different spots in the game I watched.
Seth Hammad
Seth Hammad
Hammad could have been one of my jitterbug PG’s, but it was his shooting that stood out. The PG played with spirit, energy and moxie, spacing the floor while knocking down multiple three point baskets in the game I watched.
Mike Shepston
Mike Shepston
Shepston is a prospect to keep an eye on. He was the best pull up shooter I saw all weekend, making the sniper list primarly for his ability to get to his spot off one or two dribbles and knock down jumpers. It wasn’t as if he didn’t hit his share of threes, as he showed a smooth release while knocking down a coulple three point jumpers in the game I saw.
Adrian Avala
Adrian Avala
In a thrilling and competitive game against the Runnin Rebels, Avala came up huge. The sniper burried several clutch threes in the second half of the game, showing a ton of skill and poise. His big time, clutch shooting, allowed his squad to pull out a hard fought victory.
