One of the smallest players left in the playoffs is having one of the biggest runs that has given Alta a new dimension. Dash is a talented scorer and he can hit from all over including from deep. He is fast and makes quick shifty moves that have defenders on skates at times. He does not seemed frazzled by the moment as he has handled pressure very well and he has made some huge plays. Dash has been rebounding, defending and making the defense pay for over helping on ther players. His timely play has helped othe rplayers get open looks and open drives. Although he did not light up the scoreboard he was a difference maker when he was on the floor.

An unlikely player when you look at the score sheet but this kid was tough as nails a he was defending at a high level the pesky Orem guards. He was taking charges and controlling the tempo. Timpview has a solid rotation and he had to take over as the PG got two quick fouls in the first quarter. Every possession was crucial in such a tight low scoring game. Big defensive stops and Timpview working the clock on offense was Villa’s specialty.
Those high level players are always needed but when it’s closing time a lot of player step up and

did just that. He was able to find a few opening and his movement without the ball really payed off as he had some elite layups late in the game that was the biggest difference. James was a warrior as he was rebounding on both ends. he was blocking shots and making key drive and dumps and drive and kicks. The most important part of his stellar play last night was that he drove and got stopped and used his footwork to get out of trouble on shots or simply kicking the ball out to reset their offense. With James being a bigger guard he is a tough player to defend.
Ace was the of the best player on the floor last night. He did so much to help Alta get separation and maintain a lead. You can hear fans and parents yell out instructions, “KEEP HIM IN FRONT” that is a very easy thing to say but staying in front of Ace is one of the hardest things to do. He was excellent breaking pressure when the defense decided to go full-court. He was also explosive on drives getting by defenders almost at will creating for himself and others. He then made some big time three-pointers from deep to just showcase his all-around talent.
