This is a chance to see how the state tournament teams made their run. I did district 2 already, but the next 2 articles will be about how the teams qualified for that. ROUND 1
The Metro League has been split into 2 different sub divisions within the league. The bottom 8 teams are involved in this bracket, with only 3 being able to advance to the 3A district 2 tournament. For round 1 there was the bottom 4 teams going against each other in loser out games. 13th seed Ingraham went up against 16th seed Chief Sealth, Ingraham would win 67-54. 14th seed Cleveland went against 15th seed Franklin, Franklin would win the game 52-46. Chief Sealth and Cleveland would have their seasons end and Ingraham and Franklin would advance.
ROUND 2
For round 2, we also had all loser out games. 7th seed Bishop Blanchet played 15th seed Franklin. Bishop Blanchet would win 70-38. 8th seed Roosevelt played 13th seed Ingraham, Ingraham would pull off the upset and win 62-51. 9th seed Nathan Hale went against 12th seed Lincoln (Seattle), Nathan Hale would win 60-45. 10th seed Ballard faced 11th seed Lakeside (Seattle), Lakeside (Seattle) would pull off the upset and win 52-34. Ballard, Lincoln (Seattle), Franklin, and Roosevelt would all be eliminated. Lakeside (Seattle), Ingraham, Bishop Blanchet, and Nathan Hale would advance.
ROUND 3
This is the semi-final round, with 4 teams remaining only 3 teams will advance. 9 seed Nathan Hale played 13th seed Ingraham, Nathan Hale would win 51-38. 7th seed Bishop Blanchet went against 11th seed Lakeside (Seattle), Lakeside (Seattle) would pull off the close win 64-62. Bishop Blanchet and Ingraham will play in the next round for the 3rd spot to the 3A district 2 tournament. Lakeside (Seattle) and Nathan Hale will play in the next round of this bracket for seeding purposes but both will advance to the 3A district 2 tournament.
ROUND 4
For the championship game in this metro league qualifier, 9th seed Nathan Hale played 11th seed Lakeside (Seattle) with both teams advancing to the 3A district 2 tournament. Lakeside (Seattle) would win 51-50. Lakeside (Seattle) would be the 7th seed in the 3A district 2 tournament and Nathan Hale would be the 8th seed. For the 3rd and final spot 7th seed Bishop Blanchet played 13th seed Ingraham. Bishop Blanchet would win 60-54 and advance to the 3A district 2 tournament as the 9th seed. Ingraham’s season would end.
