ANN ARBOR HURON VS. DETROIT CASS TECH
Prediction: Detroit Cass Tech
This is a great matchup. Cass Tech has been a bit of an offensive juggernaut this year. In all reality, they have some kids coming off the bench that could easily score double digits a game. Meanwhile, Ann Arbor Huron is yet to allow more than 57 points in a game this season. Buckle up.
Players to watch:
This could be an instant classic in a battle between 2 of the most talented guards in the state. Moore can put the ball on the floor and go. He has a very fast first step with the ball and can go either way with it. If Moore can get his defender on his hip and straight line drive, watch out. He could make a huge statement in this game.
GRAND BLANC VS ROCHESTER ADAMS
Prediction: Grand Blanc
Grand Blanc has so many ways it can hurt you on offense. I think they advance, but they can’t look past this Rochester Adams team. They have star athletes, shooters and a bunch of players that are willing to work their tail off for the W. This should be a good one.
Players to watch:
I’m going to go athlete vs. athlete in this players to watch section. Boyd is an elite wing talent in Michigan. I’ve always loved the way that he and RJ Taylor RJ Taylor 6’0″ | PG Grand Blanc | 2023 State #262 Nation MI play together and feel each other’s games. Boyd can get down the floor in a hurry, fill a wing, and finish with force above the rim.
Remember that athlete vs. athlete thing? Well, Prieskorn is one of the best all around athletes, in any sport, in the state of Michigan. He has that elite combination of size, strength and speed that most just can’t match. His football recruitment includes the likes of Michigan, Ohio State and Alabama.
