Cam Welker
Cam Welker
Camren handles the ball really well. Has the ability to get by his defenders. Scores in a variety of ways off the bounce, draws fouls and converts old school threes. Averaged 15 ppg for Port Washington and was a big reason of their surprising march to the final.
Trevor Amalfitano
Trevor Amalfitano
Trevor made up a tremendous duo with the above mentioned Cam. Trevor can score inside but also has the ability to score from beyond the arc. Averaged 18 ppg. Many of those points were done with determination.
Josh had a real nice senior season averaging 14 ppg. He can finish off the bounce at the rim. Does a great job on the boards. Scores points off of putbacks reading the shot. Defensively uses his hands and feet staying in front of the ball handler.
Highlights
Jakai is a tough matchup in high school. He uses his size to muscle his way to the rim. Can post up smaller guards or take a bigger man off the dribble. When you first look at Jakai you might think he is a slow unathletic player but after he puts 15 on you, you will understand he is a player. Handles the ball for Hempstead while playing many different positions.
We will be reporting a lot on Peyton over theses next few years. Extremely talented with the ball in his hands. Gets downhill quickly with his head up. He is a scoring point guard. Protects the ball with his elusive handle.
Highlights
Josh was exceptional all season and continued that in the big upset of the defending champions. Josh runs the floor really well. He works hard under the basket rebounding even though a lot of times he is undersized. Has the ability to drive the ball down the lane and score through contact.
