Cameron Holmes Cameron Holmes 6'5" | SF Millennium | 2026 State AZ – SG/PG – 6’6” – 2026 Millennium (AZ)
One of the top prospects in the 2026 class and already has offers from some of the top schools in the country such as Kansas, Oregon, and Arizona State. After a stellar Freshman season, each game he continued to prove why he was such a highly regarded prospect. The only weakness in his game that I could even try to come up with is his right hand (which is still better than most). The 6’6” lefty slasher does it all. He makes himself impossible to guard with a consistent three-point jumper off the catch and dribble, and he drives with confidence against anyone in front of him and at the rim. Leading his team to 12-0 in league play, he is dangerous every time he steps on the court and is also one of the best on-ball defenders I’ve seen in a long time.
Ilyes Lear Ilyes Lear 6'4" | CG Fontana | 2024 CA-S – PG – 6’4” – 2024 Fontana (SoCal)
Such a calming presence as a point guard with some decent size. His pace on the floor is so impressive at such a young age. The French prospect that came over during his Freshman year of high school, has all the tools on the offensive end to be successful at the next level. The only knock would be a lack of defensive intensity, but as his body started to fill out he increased his energy. He really is a wizard with the basketball and has a wicked first step. What I am most impressed with his game though is his willingness to let the game come to him. He doesn’t force anything and at the same time is able to create his own shot while also setting up his teammates.
Erenzo Scroggins Erenzo Scroggins 6'4" | SF AZ Compass Prep Black | 2023 State AZ – SG/PG – 6’4” – 2023 AZ Compass Prep (AZ)
The star player from McClintock high school decided to make the switch to one of the top high schools in Arizona at AZ Compass Prep. It definitely led to more press but it didn’t help with the recruiting aspect. The reason why is because he is a player that you have to see live, with his size and strength isn’t something that you can see over film. He is the most powerful guard I saw all season long. The most you can do is try and slow him down. He finishes strong at the rim and will dunk all over whoever is in his path and still has a reliable jump shot that keeps the defense on their toes. With the combination of his strength and size, he can pick up a point guard and also play up to defend forwards if the team needs that. A steal machine while averaging over three per game, he is such a smart player that deserves to play at a high level.
Deisyn Payne – PG/SG – 6’3” – 2025 Grand Terrace (SoCal)
The sweet-shooting lefty is a delight to watch and so talented but is intriguing because he still has a lot of room to grow. Two years down and two to go, and he already has so much in his bag that makes him impossible to stop. What makes him perfect to add to a roster is that he can play so many different roles depending on the roster and the level he is playing at. He has the capability to be a go-to scorer, a role player, or just a lights-out spot-up shooter if that is all you need. He gets his hands dirty on the defensive end with his long arms that help him pick pockets and go throw it down on the other end. He is the quickest player on the court every single night, which is another way he is able to separate himself from the competition on both ends of the floor.
Xavier Ogle Xavier Ogle 5'8" | PG Rancho Bernardo | 2023 State CA-S – PG – 5’10” – 2023 Rancho Bernardo (SoCal)
A star guard out of the San Diego area continues to prove everyone wrong despite his size. He is not only a great player but a great leader of a team. He brings the best out of himself and his teammates every single night. He averaged just under 20 points per game but paired that with over 8 assists per game. The true point guard is very scrappy on the defensive end and racks up steals in bunches. He does most of that by picking up and getting under the opposition’s skin. On the offensive side, he is very well-rounded with a smooth stroke, a quick first step, and the ability to finish in the paint while still setting up his teammates. He is a leader that will continue to make the right play during the big moments.
