Ty Yoder Ty Yoder 5'10" | PG Resurrection Christian | 2025 State CO had a great performance in the final 4 drawing all the attention on the offensive end of the floor. Ty came out hot in the first quarter showing off that he was the quickest player on the floor. When guarded 1 on 1, he was able to burst past defenders with ease to get to the rim or step into quick mid-range jumpers. Lutheran face guarded Ty after the first quarter was face guarded allowing him to draw in the defense and open up shots for his teammates, this is something that cannot be measured on the stat sheet but even when not scoring or even touching the ball his presence allowed his teammates to score.
Jaxon Grable – Holy Family
Jaxon Grable brought great energy off of the bench in the final 4 for Holy Family. Jaxon stood out with his hustle on the defensive end. He immediately made his presence known jumping a passing lane to start a fastbreak. Jaxon was a disruptor on the defensive end all game. He did a good job slashing to the rim and knocked down some jumpers.
Xavier Davis Xavier Davis 6'4" | SF Pueblo Central | 2024 State CO – Pueblo Central
Xavier Davis Xavier Davis 6'4" | SF Pueblo Central | 2024 State CO had a great last performance of his junior season making his presence known on both ends of the floor. Xavier did a solid job on the defensive and made some timely blocks for them, one while guarding on ball and one coming from the help side. He showed off his deep shooting range hitting some contested and deep shots. Xavier showed the ability to take over a game, he is a junior to keep an eye on as he has solid size standing at 6’3 and can play well on both ends.
Jordan Wenger Jordan Wenger 6'2" | CG The Classical Academy | 2023 CO – The Classical Academy
Jordan Wenger Jordan Wenger 6'2" | CG The Classical Academy | 2023 CO showed off his elite athleticism and competitive nature competing on both ends. Jordan scored the ball well especially from three-point land where he made 5-7 including some tough shots off of the dribble. He is an outstanding basketball player but apparently even better on the track!
Eric Quintana Eric Quintana 5'9" | PG Holy Family | 2023 State CO – Holy Family
Eric Quintana Eric Quintana 5'9" | PG Holy Family | 2023 State CO had two good recent performances but I chose to go with his final 4 performance. Eric is a true point guard who leads by example on both ends of the floor. He racked up 7 steals in this game showing his super quick reflexes. Eric had a balanced game scoring and assisting his teammates, showing off his team first mentality. Eric matches Holy Family’s culture perfectly and has done a great job leading the 17 seed to the state game!
Jayr Almeida – Alamosa
Jayr Almeida had a good last performance of his senior season at the Denver Coliseum. Jayr sent the tone for the team as he does not mind doing the littles things. He proved to be a good rebounder for a guard, consistently finding a body to box out. Jayr did a good job pushing the pace and making the right passes in fastbreak situations.
Hunter Hill Hunter Hill 6'6" | SF Eagle Ridge Academy | 2023 State CO – Eagle Ridge Academy
Hunter Hill Hunter Hill 6'6" | SF Eagle Ridge Academy | 2023 State CO had a very good performance leading Eagle Ridge Academy to the final 4. Hunter reigned in 26 points and did a good job rebounding the ball. He did a good job creating buckets by moving without the ball, cutting or grabbing offensive rebounds. Hunter also had some big dunks which got the stadium on their feet!
Braedon Koeinga – Lutheran
Braedon Koeinga had a good final performance of his senior year in a final 4 loss against Resurrection Christian. Braedon did a good job getting downhill and attacking the rim. He made some buckets when Lutheran was in a shooting slump keeping them in the game at times.
