The 6’9 Center is on an upward path. He’ll have to get stronger, nonetheless he’s improved his game. He has the size, and touch to produce points in the paint, his biggest improvement is adding a 3 point shot that goes in. He comfortably spots up, with a good release on the catch and shoot in the corners.
The athletic Long helped lead Granada to its first State title appearance as a long wing who added scoring and defending. His length allowed him to guard multiple positions on the perimeter and in the post. He’s a hard cover in transition and in open space with his athleticism, and handles. He has an improving shot behind the arc, good lift on the mid-range and he can finish around the rim.
The athletic guard/wing/forward has continued to expand his skill set. He’s handling more on the wings, and in transition with good passing. He’s showing aggressiveness, while attacking the basket in transition and on the perimeter. He has good acceleration when he goes. His mid-range and 3pt jumpers are improved. He has the length, and foot speed to defend hard in the open court.
We’re still trying to get a read on Collins, he’s strong, has good movement and plays hard on the defensive side of the ball. He handles contact on the drive into the paint. He’s a good court runner who can finish. Standing around 6’3 he’s scrappy and will battle bigs for rebounds. 13pts per game.
He’s a hard playing guard/forward who’s good at taking it strong to the basket whenever the opportunity presents itself in transition or half-court. He often battles with bigger players defending the post area. He can hit the paint jumper, expanding his range would be good, nonetheless he’s a tough minded player with good work on the court. 12.5pts, 7.4rebs.
He’s an up and coming guard with good fundamental skills. He has a good looking jump shot he can hit from mid-range, and spot up behind the 3pt line. He’s a bit of a combo guard with quality handles, and good passing. We’ll be looking to see what he does in the spring and summer.
Highlights
He’s a solid body forward with good footwork to score inside, but has steadily improved his game away from the basket. He can use a dribble or two to get into the paint for his jumper. He’s shown he’ll put up a 3ptr when it’s there. He has good size to get rebounds, and defend in the post area.
