Prep Hoops Florida scouts Allen Pettigrew and Ross Van De Griek are on the grounds of the RP Funding Center in Lakeland throughout the week. Here is who stood out in the evening session of Day 1:
The 6-2 senior guard was all over the floor and active on both ends, finishing with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 2 blocked shots in their 71-65 loss to Sagemont. He was flashy and limiting second chance opportunities, as well as active in the passing lanes.

Juan Barbista
With the absence of 6-6 guard Isaac Taveras Isaac Taveras 6’6″ | SG North Florida Educational Institute | 2023 State #171 Nation FL , Barbista was keeping his team afloat finishing with a team-high 27 points, on 8-of-18 shooting from the field and going 10-of-12 from the free throw line. He was at his best when he was attacking and absorbing the contact. He made some highlight plays, as he was active on the defensive end picking up four steals.
Kyler Lamb
Kyler Lamb
Lamb was very active on both ends, using his size and athleticism to his advantage. The 6-6 junior forward finished with a double-double at 13 points and 10 rebounds finishing around the rim with contact.
The 6-4 sophomore combo guard was electrifying in the second half, finishing with a game-high 26 points including 18 in the second half. Ingram was at his best when he was attacking the basket and getting to the free throw line. Ingram used his athleticism as well with a few vicious dunks which came in transition. He also added 11 rebounds and 5 steals in the 49-46 loss to Chipley.

Daquayvious Sorey
The Auburn football commit put on a show in the second half, finishing with a team-high 20 points and four rebounds in their 49-46 win over Hawthorne. The senior guard knocked down some timely shots as well as knocking down both free throws to seal the win for his squad to reach their first state title game in 7 years.
