Austin Anderson of DGF (jr). Anderson supported DGF with five scores around the basket hitting on 5 of 9 shots and grabbing five boards.
Ethan Borgerding of Albany (sr). Albany took a bigger step forward as a Class AA contender in my eyes and a big reason was Borgerding. This is a tough, physical, strong frontcourt player that give them a player that other teams have to go through around the basket.. He does not give ground on the one end and sets a wall of screen the other way. His 14 around the basket does just enough to get the opposition away from the guards/wings surrounding him.
Jacob Daniels Jacob Daniels 6'2" | PF Perham | 2023 MN of Perham (sr). Daniels is the player that makes me believe that Perham can make a run this year. Ohm is a solid lead guard, Anderson and Thompson are versatile players that do a lot and have size, and then you have Daniels. Daniels has strength and at 6’3 he can muscle players. He’s also a four or five bucket a game guy that is a better shooter than people give him credit for. Daniels does some little things that are very important for this team.
Andrew Imdieke of Osakis (jr). Let’s not make this too complicated, Andrew can stroke the ball from the arc. He hit six threes on his way to 20 points and most of his shots were at the arc, although not much forced as he also totalled four assists. Mixed it up some for six boards but it was his shooting touch at the arc that DGF could not get a handle on.
Kyle Mages Kyle Mages 6'4" | PF Osakis | 2024 State MN of Osakis (jr). This is a junior that I really like and think he could make some noise in AAU and as a senior next year. Mages has a really nice touch at 6’4. Passes the ball well out of the high post and at the top of the arc with quick swings. He had six assists with nine boards and 19 points on 6 of 8 shooting. Also put DGF away with six foul shots made in the final minute.
Drew Sheeley Drew Sheeley 6'0" | SG Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton | 2023 MN of DGF (sr). Sheeley is one player that DGF has that can take pressure off of Leach with his shooting touch. Sheeley did not have his best shooting day against Osakis but he did sink four jumpers on his way to 13 points.
Hunter Williams of Pelican Rapids (sr). A big reason Ian Fahje Ian Fahje 6'8" | C Pelican Rapids | 2023 State MN has space away from the rim often is that Hunter has been solid around the basket. He is giving the team some hustle buckets and a couple post up buckets in the games I have seen including today where Hunter scored four times early in the paint. Had a 10 point, seven board game.
