The Wisconsin Youth Basketball League continued last weekend and I was able to catch some impressive match-ups.

Below are the five athletes that stood out as Top Performers on February 5th.

Caden McGowan | Guard | Wisconsin Lutheran

McGowan had a solid showing on Sunday. His quick first step allowed him to; get into the paint and finish around the basket, drive and kick to open teammates, and knockdown pull-up jumpers when helping defenders were in drop coverage. His next-level patience and discipline allowed his team to build and protect leads.

Jaquan Turner | Forward | Wisconsin Lutheran

Turner was an impact player all over the court at WYBL. His presence on the boards and ability to push the break was a momentum shifter. He proved to be versatile by guarding all five spots. His ability to speed his opponent up resulted in deflections, steals, and turnovers. His effort and energy matched his next-level talent.

Judson Haag | Forward | Sheboygan South

Haag impressed us once again with a great all-around performance. His energy on both ends was infectious for Sheboygan South. He was a standout while finishing strong around the basket and making coast-to-coast drives after snatching defensive boards.

Layton Hamilton | Guard | Sheboygan South

Hamilton shot the ball at a high clip over the weekend. His movement without the ball was a major catalyst to his team's success and made for a fluid offense. The sharpshooting forward's defender could not leave him in the half-court.

Yandel Soler | Guard | Ronald Reagan

Soler had the ball on a string and proved to be a floor general for Ronald Reagan. His ability to create shots for himself and others stood out the most. His court vision made for exciting basketball. His workhorse mentality led by example on the defensive end as well.

The Wisconsin Youth Basketball League continued last weekend and I was able to catch some impressive match-ups.
