Charles was all over the place in Olympia’s victory. The 6-5 senior forward is a tenacious defender inside and out, holding his own when switching on to quicker guards around the perimeter. Offensively, Charles plays with a nice all-around game with great vision, often looking to make the extra pass to find a teammate for an open look.
Heading into this matchup, I knew just how talented of a bucket-getting James was. And while he did showcase that, especially his ability to get downhill and strength around the tin. It was the future Bearcats playmaking that stood out on Wednesday. On multiple occasions, he rifled a crosscourt dime to an open man, appearing near impossible for anybody besides James.
Cj Outlaw
Cj Outlaw
Outlaw played a key role on the interior through all four quarters in the win. At 6-9, the senior forward has extremely good hands down low, often leading to easy drop step dunks. When a shot goes up in the air, Outlaw’s strong frame and soft touch led to several second chance opportunities.
Caleel Horne
Caleel Horne
Even when his team found themselves down double-digits late, Horne never let his foot off the pedal for the Warriors. The senior guard has unbelievable speed with the ball in his hands, but still manages to stay calm and composed enough to run his offense. Nearly impossible to stop on the fast break, Horne keeps defenders guessing with his great vision and combination of speed and strength when he decides to take it himself.
Narcisse is exactly what college coaches should want in a next-level scoring guard. Whether it’s off the dribble or from the catch and shoot, the senior guard can score at a high rate from a variety of ways – including a filthy step back jumper.
