Pinner is set to do work in the NCISAA Playoffs with Concord Academy after having a productive regular season. He’s led the way for the Eagles with 15.7 ppg, 7.7 rpg, 3.3 apg, 2.5 bpg and 1.8 spg in the frontcourt for their squad. He’s come on strong of late with his ability to play around the rim as they’re set to host their first game on Saturday, Feb. 18. DI and DII programs would be wise to take a look at him.
Highlights
Hull is an underrated name in the state of North Carolina. He’s quite the floor general at Charlotte Latin School and posted 27 ppg, 6 rpg, 3 apg and 1 spg during conference action this season. He’s quite the sharpshooting floor general that can make play for others that DI and DII schools should get eyes on. They’ll be in action on Thursday against Covenant Day School.
Okwakol is an emerging wing name to get to know over at Quality Education Academy. He’s led their squad with 13.8 ppg to go along with 5.3 rpg, 2.3 apg and 1.4 spg while shooting 55 percent from the floor and 49 percent from 3-point range in 2022-23. He’s improved a ton in his senior season with the Pharaohs as a scoring threat off the bounce and on the rebounding front. He’s a name for DII programs to get eyes on in the region.
Moore-Bryant has been key to the success of Cape Fear High in 2022-23 as he’s led the way in the backcourt for them with 18.8 ppg, 4.5 apg, 3.7 rpg and 2.8 spg on both ends of the floor with his squad. He’s a two-way floor general that knows how to control the pace on both ends with his on-ball defense and ability to push the pace on offense. He’s a prospect for DII and DIII programs to get eyes on before the postseason ends.
Surgers is just scratching the surface of what he can do given his size and athleticism at 6-foot-7. He’s an athletic forward prospect that can operate inside and out for Panther Creek High and is a burden on the boards for any opponent.
Any college program in need of a true floor general should look no further than Holly Springs High point guard Micah Jones Micah Jones 5’11” | PG Holly Springs | 2023 State NC . He’s a crafty point guard with offers already from Navy, Lees-McRae, Mount Olive and a few others as conference tournament season approaches for the Golden Hawks this week. He’s averaging 5.8 apg in 2022-23 at the point guard spot while also leading the charge in scoring.
