Sawyer Ramey Sawyer Ramey 5'10" | PG Deerfield Academy | 2024 State New E , 5’9 PG – Fair Haven Union High School Class of 2023
A true two-way PG, Ramey has been electric all year. Sawyer has led Fair Haven to an undefeated season with his impeccable facilitation, scoring prowess, and court-awareness. The southpaw’s ability to manipulate defenses, thread passes, and score at all three-levels has been nearly unstoppable all year. Plus, he’s a rebounding guard and a savvy defender both on the ball and off. According to the Burlington Free Press, he’s averaging 16.3 ppg, 7.4 assists, and 6 rebounds. Ramey’s game is elite.
Alex Provost, 6’0 G – Champlain Valley Union High School Class of 2023
The floor general out of CVU has demonstrated all year that he’s reliable, smart, and team oriented. Alex orchestrates the offense to a tee, reading defenses and getting into effective sets quickly. Moreover, he’s shown he can get a bucket if needed. Provost is a crafty slasher who can finish in traffic, the mid-range, or feed bigs, whichever is the right play. In addition, he’s scrappy as can be. Alex is one of the first guys to dive on the floor, hustle for loose balls, and sacrifice his body. Plus, he’s got the intangibles. Alex is that guy.
Cooper Diego, 6’2 G – Spaulding High School Class of 2023
The sharpshooter isn’t just a sharpshooter. Cooper is well-known for his three-level scoring, especially from range, and deservingly so, but he’s also a facilitator and a heady defender. Cooper has been at the helm for SHS all season, and they too have closed the year out 20-0, securing the #1 seed in D2. Diego’s secure ballhandling and orchestration is aided by his savvy court-awareness and situational awareness. He reads the floor intuitively on both ends, defends 1-3, and is always in the mix. Plus, he knows how to control pace and why. Cooper’s IQ is on par with his vast skillset.
Tucker Tharpe Tucker Tharpe 6'6" | PF Champlain Valley | 2024 State New E , 6’5 F – Champlain Valley Union High School Class of 2024
Tucker is a high IQ, two-way gamer. He’s a mobile big who’s most effective around the post and short corner, making plays with his vast arsenal of post moves and passing expertise out of the interior. Yet he’s comfortable out on the wing where he’s a smart ball-mover and screener, and if he extends his range to three, he’ll be a threat at all three-levels. Regardless, Tucker’s defense is even stronger. He can feasibly guard 3-5 and is a monster on the boards. To cap it all off, he’s a coast-to-coast threat and he’s put a few guys on posters this year. Keep an eye on Tuck.
Drew Bessette Drew Bessette 6'7" | PF Rice Memorial | 2024 State New E , 6’6 F – Rice Memorial High School Class of 2024
An all-around hooper, Drew is one of the most exciting prospects out of the VPA. Bessette is a certified three-level scorer, yet he finds his offense within the flow of the game and isn’t one to dominate the ball. Moreover, he defends 3-5 and is a sly help defender inside and out. With well-timed elevation and the strength to back it up, Drew’s an intimidator inside and his numbers on the boards have only grown as the season went on. Bessette’s inside/out game on both ends is a matchup nightmare for opponents, and it’s clear the weight room is a part of his training. Drew does it all.
