Although there might be a few players scoring more but when you take a deep dive into the numbers and realize what this player is doing in the best basketball region in the state, his numbers are far more impressive. Strength of schedule is off the charts. The future is bright for this wing over at Lone Peak High School. [player_tooltip player_id='1146663' first='Ike' last='Staley'] has been putting up great numbers late in the season and has been able to take over at times. Ike at 6;7 can shoot the ball and one thing he does well when he is shooting from deep is that he can shoot the ball without dipping it. He often catches defenders off guard with that and he can create space with his jabs. His length is something that will translate to the next level. Ike has had some games where he had a big part in putting Lone Peak in a winning position.

Offensive Game

Ike can really surprise you with his first step and how he can cover ground to get beyond defenders. He can be explosive when lanes open up for him. Has an above the rim game and is not afraid to take it to the rim and attack because he will absorb that contact. While getting in the lane he can find open lanes to pass to open players. That great vision comes from being a QB for so many years. He is not a high volume shooter, he shoots quality shots. Ike shoots above 80% from the free-throw line and above 5- % from the field. Beyond the arc he is around 35 %, which is impressive when you look at his schedule as he is not playing against some cup cake teams.

Defensive Game

Defensively he is able to defend multiple positions and when he switches he can hold his own. He will not get bullied by bigger players and he will not get exposed by the smaller guards trying to break him down off the dribble. Rebounding is a big part of that defensive game because he can get stops and clean up the boards himself. He has the ability to push the ball after boards which helps his guards get up the floor and fill the lanes. He knows how to wall up and when to contest shots. Does a great job with timing on his contest that often lead to blocks.

Ike is a solid player that will play at the next level. His skills continue to develop and he has a high ceiling. His IQ is something that you can see right away and he still has his team alive in the state tournament.
