Ethan Anish Ethan Anish 6'1" | CG Taylor Allderdice | 2023 State PA | G | Allderdice
A floor general for Devin Crummie with multiple years as a varsity starter, Anish continues to show that he’s a leader at both ends of the floor. A tenacious on ball defender who causes turnovers with active hands and quick feet. He’s got the ability to get to the rim off the dribble on offense but can also step back at hit shots as part of deep ‘Dice backcourt. Led them with 23 in the semifinals.
Sam Kelly Sam Kelly 6'5" | PF Allderdice | 2023 State PA | F | Allderdice
An athletic 6’4″ forward who does a good job to play within himself–Now, that will look an odd statement, because he’s a well rounded ballplayer who can elevate above the rim but also hit shots from beyond the arc. He’s physical on the boards and is an effective shot blocker who has his timing down to limit fouls–He’s also a member of the volleyball team—which will undoubtedly impact him in a positive manner with the timing skill. He’s become a dunk machine as a senior.
Logan Golle Logan Golle 6'1" | PG Taylor Allderdice | 2024 State PA | G | Allderdice
We could essentially just list the ‘Dice starting five here and call it day–They’re all college ballplayers and probably, in no order, the five best players in the City right now. Golle is a long and lean junior guard who shares the floor general spot with Anish, giving Crummie two college level guards who can both facilitate and offense and score the ball. He and Anish team up to be a tough pair on top of the press and he’s another relentless defender. He’ll see a big role next year.
Titus Gillet | G | Brashear
While the Bulls came up on the losing end to Obama, Gillet still performed individually. The senior scorer hit for 25 points while facing a box-and-one defense from the Eagles. We’ve seen him a few times this year and he’s certainly one of the top offensive threats in the city. Good first step to the rim and can finish through traffic. A tough guard who could be a contributor at the next level.
Xavier Rodgers | G | Obama
Graduations and transfers out opened doors for several players at Obama to step up into leadership roles. Rodgers was one of the players who embraced it. The 6’2″ senior guard has had a superb season, going for 20 several times. He’s got the ability to break down defenders and get to the tin and can also hit open shots from the perimeter. He’s one of the top seniors in the area that is under the radar, like most city league players tend to be these days.
Torrien Perkins Torrien Perkins 6'2" | SG Obama Academy | 2024 State PA | F| Obama 2024
The 6’3″ junior forward has also benefitted from getting more touches of the basketball this year. He’s been a great compliment to Rodgers out of the backcourt and uses his strong frame to get at the rim. He had a breakout January, averaging nearly 20ppg for the month and will be counted on to do heavy lifting next year. Tough rebounder who can also move the rock out of the post and along the perimeter.
