SubscribePrior to their matchup with Clayton HS, we mentioned that he would need to be more aggressive if they hoped to advance and that’s exactly what we saw from him. He led his team in scoring with 22 Points but also made his usual contributions scoring the ball, facilitating but most importantly providing senior leadership and coming up with some big plays on the defensive end of the floor.
Provided a nice lift for their squad in the second half of their matchup with Cummings, scoring just about all of his points in the final 16 minutes of play which would help his team win and advance. When he’s locked in and aggressive on both ends of the floor, he can be the dominate player that college coaches can potentially see him being for the next level.
His team would come up short in their matchup against Terry Sanford, but he gave them everything he had, providing a game high of 22 Points in the loss. College coaches at the JC level have extended offers already while D2 programs have watched closely and are showing interest. His size and skills are clearly attributes that make him an intriguing prospect and we feel that he will only get better once he gets into the right college program.
Over the last few games this young man has played at a very high level, and it now seems that he may be turning the corner as a player and prospect. He put a monster stat line of 32 Points and 10 Rebounds in their first-round matchup with Person which helped his team get a large lead early on and they never looked back. The win sets up a second-round matchup with Northwood HS which should be a very exciting game.
He’s played at a very high level this season and kept that same momentum going into the first round of the state playoffs. In their matchup with JF Webb he scored the ball at an extremely high level, finishing with a game high of 37 Points, showcasing his ability to score from multiple levels with efficiency.
The Freshman continues to play well, and he seems to have found his rhythm on the varsity level, which should have the fans at St.Pauls very excited. He’s a big body with a soft touch in the paint and is not a player that is afraid to play with his back to the basket. He led all scorers with 21 Points and continues to establish himself as one of the better young big men in the area.
His team got off to a slow start overall and faced a large deficit that they simply could not overcome but he was one of the bright spots for his team. He knocked down shots from the perimeter with efficiency as well as making a nice impact rebounding the ball by using his size and athleticism.
