Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach defeats Pee Dee Academy:
The Saints took care of business at home and defeated a tough Golden Eagles squad 47-40 earlier this week. Both teams prepare for SCISA Tourney play later this week. Pee Dee Academy will play on Saturday in Sumter while Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach will play on Monday.
Xander Fairbanks Xander Fairbanks 6'3" | PF Christian Academy of Myrtle Beach | 2023 State SC came over to the Saints at the semester break from nearby Waccamaw HS. Fairbanks has really made dividends down in the paint for the Saints. Fairbanks finished with 10 points while grabbing some big rebounds late down the stretch. Xander brings a good motor to the floor and does his best work around the cup in just activity.
Christian MacDonald Christian MacDonald 5'10" | PG Christian Academy Of Myrtle Beach | 2023 State SC led the way for the Saints with 12 points while Elijah Ellison got the hot hand in the 4th quarter on the way to scoring 11 points. The Saints move onto (18-8) on the season while heading into the State Tourney.
Hudson Spivey Hudson Spivey 6'4" | SF Pee Dee Academy | 2023 State SC kept the Golden Eagles in check all night with 12 points and 13 rebounds according to my unofficial stats. Left-handed sophomore guard Colby Richardson also recorded 12 points for Pee Dee Academy while connecting on a few shots from downtown.
Lake City defeats Dillon HS 64-61 in Opening Round:
The Panthers took care of business on their homecourt this week in the SCHSL Class 3A Playoff Game. The Panthers were led in scoring by forward Amare Adams Amare Adams 6'5" | PF South Florence | 2025 State SC with 21 points, guard Mykel Croker Mykel Croker 5'7" | PG Lake City | 2023 State SC added 12 points while Karon Brown Karon Brown 6'6" | PF West Florence | 2025 State SC finished the night with 11 points.
The Wildcats were led in scoring by Zavieon Clark Zavieon Clark 6'1" | CG Dillon | 2023 State SC with 19 points while freshman guard Zamaurious Robertson Zamaurious Robertson 6'0" | SG Dillon | 2026 State SC added 13 points in the loss.
