We are winding down and there are some matchups that are intriguing heading into the weekend. There could be a lot riding on a few wins here. We hope the stars are ready to play .

Riverton vs. Copper Hills

Riverton is likely going to win region but Copper Hills is fighting for better seeding and beating Riverton could really help their case to avoid a 1st Round game and take that BYE. Copper Hills in the past has had to lean on senior leadership and upper class players but this time around they will need excellent play from one of the better Class of 2026 prospects [player_tooltip player_id='1771527' first='Isaiah' last='Reiser']. In their last meeting Reiser went off because the PG position at Riverton could not hold him down. On the other side of the ball Riverton is going to need to make more than 3 three-pointers to win this one. Jaxon Kereks and [player_tooltip player_id='1116161' first='Stratton' last='Johnson'] will really need to be locked in.

Farmington vs. Syracuse

Both of these teams are in the thick of it and in the middle of the pack in Region 1. Farmington took game one as they had a solid 4th quarter to end the game that was back and forth. [player_tooltip player_id='1548403' first='Jayden' last='Haskell'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1057024' first='Paul' last='Beattie'] are really making a good duo but [player_tooltip player_id='1057024' first='Paul' last='Beattie'] and company will need to control the boards because Syracuse is tough to beat when they get second chance opportunities. Beattie might need to go 15 and 10 in this one to pick up another win. On the other side you have a team looking to finish off strong and they have three players that form a three-headed monster. [player_tooltip player_id='1534962' first='Carter' last='Semrow'], [player_tooltip player_id='1206860' first='Brevin' last='Hamblin'] and [player_tooltip player_id='935898' first='Kaden' last='Ericksen']. If this trio combines for 55 plus they will win the game. They cannot depend on winning form the perimeter but if they attack they might find open looks and blow this one right open.

Westlake vs. Pleasant Grove

If there is a must win game on the schedule it is this one for Pleasant Grove. They could go 2 and 3 these last few games. [player_tooltip player_id='934022' first='Michael' last='Mitton'] is back and when he is on the floor that teams just looks different. [player_tooltip player_id='969630' first='Bron' last='Roberts'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1199505' first='Isaac' last='Garrett'] really need to take their game to another level right now. There is no time to wait. Westlake can finish the year on a surge. They had Corner Canyon on the ropes but ran out of magic on Tuesday. Westlake has 5 players that can score in double figures and one player that has really started to play well is [player_tooltip player_id='1571770' first='Symon' last='Sua']. If gets going from deep and hits 4+ this game might be over. Expect a physical game and hard fouls.
