Tuesday – Jakari Smith Jakari Smith 6'4" | SG Bradley Tech | 2026 State WI (Milwaukee Bradley Tech) vs Mauryon Turner Mauryon Turner 5'11" | SG Milwaukee King | 2023 State WI (Milwaukee King)
Tuesday night features an intriguing freshman vs senior matchup in Milwaukee. Jakari is establishing himself as one of the top 2026 prospects in the state, as he’s an extremely explosive wing with size at 6’3. He’s been rebounding the ball well all year, and is a strong finisher around the basket. The freshman is putting up 8 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. Mauryon Turner Mauryon Turner 5'11" | SG Milwaukee King | 2023 State WI is a versatile senior prospect for Milwaukee King, with a long 6’4 frame. He can knock down open threes off the catch, but also has the handle to create off the dribble by getting to the rim. Turner is putting up 11.7 ppg as a consistent performer for Rufus King.
Wednesday – Devin Isaj Devin Isaj 6'6" | SF Greendale | 2025 State WI (Greendale) vs Jacob Dunham Jacob Dunham 6'4" | SG South Milwaukee | 2023 State WI (South Milwaukee)
Wednesday night features the Woodland Conference Crossover games, and two of the most skilled scorers in the area will be facing off. Isaj is already nearing the 1,000 point mark for his short career, as the sophomore guard is a scoring threat at all three levels. His 3P percentage is a bit down this year, but he still has to be accounted for at all times. Can also put the ball on the floor to get into his mid-range shot, and he’s dangerous facing up out of the high post. Like Isaj, Dunham is also a three level scoring threat. He has good positional size and a high release point that makes his pull-up jumper among the best in the state. When he gets into a rhythm, there aren’t many ways you can hold him to under 30 points. Has been an impressive four-year varsity performer and has over 1,600 career points.
Thursday – Walter Berns (Aquinas) vs Bennett Fried Bennett Fried 6'6" | SF La Crosse Central | 2023 State WI (La Crosse Central)
Walter Berns is having a major breakout season for Aquinas, going from 4.6 ppg as a sophomore to 20.3 ppg as a junior. At 6’4 he has size and is an all-around athlete who can get to the rack, defend most spots on the floor, and rebound at a high level. Walter has excellent touch on his floater that allows him to finish at a high percentage in the paint while also avoiding charge calls. Strong outside shooter as well. Bennett has an impressive blend of length and explosive athleticism on the wing for Central. Fried can finish above the rim with ease while also doing some impressive things off the dribble at 6’6. He’s a really consistent performer as he doesn’t rely strictly on his jumper, and it’s allowed him to average 16.5 ppg for a balanced team this year.
Friday – Kamauri Leavell (Kenosha Reuther) vs Josiah Karmas (Faith Christian)
Kamauri is having a strong junior season for Reuther leading them in scoring, rebounding, and assists. He’s 5’11 but has a long frame, and seems to have an extra sense for reading where the ball is going after a missed shot. When I saw him earlier in the season he was pulling in offensive rebounds in bulk and finding a lot of success going right back up with it for two points. On the other end, Josiah also leads his team in scoring, rebounding, and assists. He’s an athletic slasher at 6’1 with a nose for the basket. Can also step out and knock down threes from well beyond the arc. Scoring 25.3 ppg as a senior.
Saturday – Logan Arndt Logan Arndt 6'2" | SG Oconomowoc | 2023 State WI (Oconomowoc) vs Max Lucey Max Lucey 6'4" | SF Cuba City | 2023 State WI (Cuba City)
Logan Arndt Logan Arndt 6'2" | SG Oconomowoc | 2023 State WI is a do-it-all guard for Oconomowoc with size at 6’3. He’s a strong finisher inside who also shoots it at 35.6% from deep, but perhaps most impressive is his passing. Logan is a drive-and-kick threat who’s been dishing out a team high 3.8 assists per game. Strong frame allows him to guard bigger wings while also sticking with guards on the perimeter. Max Lucey Max Lucey 6'4" | SF Cuba City | 2023 State WI has been putting together a huge year for traditional power Cuba City. At 6’5 he’s an above-the-rim threat in transition, and can play a variety of roles offensively. He’s a solid creator for others off the dribble as he leads his team in assists, but can also operate off the ball as a 38.5% three point shooter. Scoring 22 ppg leading his team to a 16-6 record at this point.
