SubscribeThe prospects continue to stack up in excellent play today as we have seen some elite middle school hoopers mixed in with some elite younger players as well. We have seen three pointers from big time range and dunks and just some crazy finishes. Here is Part 1 of the best players Day 1 out here.
Gene is a cool 6’3 or so and he is build with strength as well. Gene was legit guarding all five positions for The LA Soldiers. Gene was the best player on the floor and that is saying something as they were playing the best team out here on circuit. He was undersized but you would not know because he was holding it down with players much bigger and heavier than him trying to post him up. With multiple rebounds and a few blocks he was solid defensively. His open floor moves, like his in and out dribble his hesi-stop and go was on point. Shot the ball well from deep and he was just a stat stuffer in every category. Not sure what high school he is going to but they need to lock him up because they might be calling to pull this kid away. He is built and can play varsity ball right now.

Blake was one of the most clutch players we saw today and that includes the big kids as well. In a game of runs Blake helped beat a team that was good with a little run of his own. He was able to hit 4 three pointers and three in a row as he was able to fend of a team hitting some tough buckets themselves. Blake showed poise with his footwork and he was catch and shoot ready. For a youngster he kept that follow through high and he plashed some big time buckets late with the game on the line. Also sealed the deal with some big rebounds and he was one of the smaller kids on the floor.
Adan was at it again as he is just different out in the open floor. The kid is a 7th grader and he is flying high and windmilling already. He is so active on the defensive end and he can get out with speed to clear space between him and the defender that many times it is just unfair. He isn’t just a kid that gets up and finishes above the rim. He defends and he can score almost anywhere. One of the most complete players in the class.

MOTOR, MOTOR, MOTOR! Best motor of the day as he was doing all the little things and doing all the dirty work. It really did not matter what the score was or the situation this kid was all over the floor getting rebounds, timing his jumps and cleaning anything up around the rim. He was not the biggest player on the floor but this kids game was big. When evaluating him the score did not matter because he just stood out the most.
