Jaidan Combs
Jaidan Combs
Combs had a really productive season for the averaging 8.4 ppg and 4.1 rpg while playing all of the of the guard spots for the Camels. With his size and athleticism, he took on a lot of tough defensive assignments throughout the year having to guard both smaller and bigger guys and was very effective. Having scoring star Aydan Hamilton Aydan Hamilton 6’5″ | SG Campbell County | 2023 State KY on his team made it hard at times to get shots, but he made the most of it. With him only being a Sophomore, I see him making it the rest of his high school career.
Dawson Gentry
Dawson Gentry
Gentry is one of the top Freshman in the state averaging 11.8 ppg and had a team high 55 made threes on the year on a very talented Montgomery County team. Although only a Freshman, he is one of the top shooters in the state with an easy, compact release. He is almost automatic off the catch when he gets his feet set. If I had to guess, he will go down as one of Montgomery County’s all time best players to play there by the end of his high school career. Huge potential.
Furnish had a great year coming close to averaging a double double for Harrison County. He scored 9.2 points per game and grabbed 7.4 boards per game. He did an incredible job all year manning the paint for them in a region with multiple good big men and big time athletes. He’s not only one of the best big men in the region but in the state. No doubt he deserved to be on the list and deserves the recognition for a great season.
Lincoln Morris
Lincoln Morris
Morris impacts the game in a multitude of ways for Nicholas County as their 2nd leading scorer averaging 9.2 ppg and 6 rpg. High level competitor that plays with an extremely high motor. He plays a perfect role backing up one of the best scorers in the region in Wyatt Clark, but he doesn’t get the recognition he deserves a lot of the time. I look for him to build off this year and have a great senior season.
Hunter Earlywine
Hunter Earlywine
Earlywine likely didn’t get the credit he deserved because of the season Robertson County had, but he was more than deserving to make the list. He averaged almost a double double with 14.1 ppg and 7.6 rpg. He was a
Brandon Bezold
Brandon Bezold
Bezold took a big leap offensively this season becoming Brossart’s top 3pt weapon knocking down a team high 54 threes and averaging 11.8 points per game. He is a guy that could be the x-factor for the mustangs in the post season. If he can get hot and score a little bit over his season average, they have a chance to upset a team in the district tournament.
