Young brings good versatility to the floor. He recently played football as a wide receiver-tight end for the Vikings football program. Brushaurd has the ability to play inside-out on the floor at times. He likes to step-out and face-up from 15-17 feet when he’s not down low collecting rebounds on the glass. Young can take the rock and drive to the basket from the top of the key on a handful of dribbles.
Young is currently averaging 17.9 ppg, 9.8 rebounds and 4 blocks this season for the Vikings.
Highlights
Tooper is a very deceptive athlete who’s currently averaging 12.2 ppg this season for the Yellow Jackets. Gabriel plays very active around the cup and tends to play bigger than his size. He has a nice mid-range game that he feels very confident in using. What will be is position at the college level? Tooper really brings good versatility to the floor.
Myles has really thinned out his frame since coming over from Ridge View HS in the off season. Squirewell really likes to play the game on contact and thrives on getting to the foul line a good number of times every game. Myles can play the short corner game facing up at times. He really looks to go to work down low with his soft hands around the basket and willingness to use angles and footwork to finish.
Squirewell is currently averaging 19.4 ppg and 11 rebounds this season while shooting 55% from the field.
Jaylen is just a Junk-Yard Dog with his play on the hardwood. He leaves it all out there every time he touches the floor. Golston will take a CHARGE on command it seems – saw him take 4 in one game this season. He can handle the rock when needed at times. Golston does his best work around the basket in just activity alone. He will step-out 6-8 feet for a short jumper. The closer to the basket he’s the most effective he tends to be.
Crawford is a RAW talent still that arrived at Keenan HS this fall. Otis was previously at Swansea HS before coming over to the Raiders. Crawford has good size and really does a good job of running the floor. He will go to work at times from the high post and work his way down to the block. Crawford is a post player who embraces it and tends to stay around the paint area. He’s seems very coachable on the floor and understands his role on this Raiders squad. His best is still down the road for sure at the next level.
Higgins is a post player with a thick frame. Connor will make sure to use all of his fouls up in every game. He doesn’t play timid down on the block when posting up with his back to the basket. He generally keeps the ball up high after claiming it off the glass and really looks to battle inside for position. Higgins still must develop a go-to post move down the road.
Henley has had a late growth spurt over the past 18 months or so for the Chiefs. Connor moves very well around the floor and even gives him the ability to knockdown the short mid-range jumper from time to time. Connor is a deceptive athlete with some bounce to him. He will look to challenge shots on the defensive end of the floor. Henley tends to stay busy on both ends of the floor away from the ball.
He has an older sister currently playing volleyball at Middle Tennessee State. Connor is currently averaging 9.3 ppg, 6.1 rebounds and 1.7 blocks for the Chiefs this season.
