Continue ReadingIn Week Four, we had the opportunity to hit a number of games at various locations in the Portland and Salem area, getting a look at a number of teams that weren’t playing at the Les Schwab Invitational. Here’s a look at some of the top performing juniors, sophomores, and freshmen we saw at the Crusader Classic (Gold Beach vs. Crane), the South Salem Tournament (Thurston over Parkrose, Willamette over Putnam, Churchill over South Salem), and Mountainside vs. Sheldon.
Braydon Ace Long Braydon Ace Long 6'0" | CG Willamette | 2024 State OR (2024 Willamette)
Give Long room and he’ll burn you from deep. The 6-foot junior is definitely one of the best in the Eugene area at the catch-and-shoot, whether it’s spotting up and getting the kick-out, or receiving the pass coming off of a screen. While those are his strengths, Long also has some off-the-dribble moves to create some offense in the lane.
India Mohiuddin India Mohiuddin 6'4" | SG North Eugene | 2024 State OR (2024 Sheldon)
After a quiet first half against Mountainside, Mohiuddin lit up in a hurry after the break. The 6-foot-3 guard has that ability to score and score quickly, whether it’s launching away from deep or creating off of the dribble. All 12 of his points occurred in the second half against Mountainside, with a number of them coming in transition.
Nate Stiffler Nate Stiffler 6'4" | SF Thurston | 2025 State OR (2025 Thurston)
Stiffler has that tremendous combination of height at 6-foot-5 and shooting range. In Thurston’s win over Parkrose, he set up shop from three in the first half which then opened up the lane after halftime, where he started to attack the basket for opportunities. Stiffler was also a factor on the boards and defense and wound up with 25 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 blocks.
Brayden Boe Brayden Boe 6'5" | CG Mountainside | 2025 State #254 Nation OR (2025 Mountainside)
It honestly wasn’t the biggest offensive night for Boe in terms of his own scoring, but against Sheldon the sophomore was able to showcase how he’s so effective in other phases of the game. With the shot not necessarily falling, Boe ran the point and found teammates for open shots both in the halfcourt and on the break, and fought hard on the boards and defense. At the end of the day he had 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists.
Cody Siegner (2025 Crane)
This was our first time seeing the young post – we had not even seen any film – and we were definitely impressed. The 6-foot-6 sophomore runs the floor well, has some solid post moves with a decent touch, and really plays hard. There’s no question he’s usually the biggest player on the court in most games that doesn’t prevent him from really getting after it on the boards. He finished with 20 points and 18 rebounds in the win over Gold Beach.
Rocco Graziano Rocco Graziano 6'1" | PG Sheldon | 2025 State OR (2025 Sheldon)
Tough loss for Sheldon on the road but Graziano was a bright spot. He’s got a sturdy 6-foot-2 frame which allows him to body up against opponents on both ends of the floor, and he’s a solid shooter with range beyond the three-point line. Graziano was steady all game long for the Irish, hitting open shots and finding open teammates to the tune of a team-high 16 points along with 3 assists.
Eli Vizconde Eli Vizconde 5'11" | CG Mountainside | 2026 State OR (2026 Mountainside)
His original role this season was to come off the bench and hit open threes. That’s still the case to some degree for Vizconde but now that he’s a starter and getting more minutes, the freshman has been able to show he’s more than just a spot-up shooter. Against Sheldon he converted some hard drives to the hoop, getting buckets or getting to the charity stripe for points as well.
