Braxton Stanley
Braxton Stanley
Stanley had an impressive scoring performance against Jenkins knocking down multiple 3’s from distance. Loved how he moved without the ball against the zone to find open spaces to shoot. Was great off the catch and got his feet set. Did most of his damage from 2pt range in transition as he got deflections and rebounds and pushed. Stanley made the most of the open looks he had and knocked them down all night.
This was my first time seeing Keene in live action and I came away impressed. Has a really good looking shot and made some timely baskets in the first half to get East Ridge going offensively. Keene was another player that took advantage of the zone Jenkins ran as he found open holes to shoot. I haven’t seen many 2026’s in the state that can shoot like him. A prospect to keep an eye on as he has a great career ahead of him.
Gibson carried the load scoring for Jenkins. Proved he can score at all three levels. Made some impressive mid-range jumpers as he sliced thru the defense to pull up. I liked how he didn’t settle going against the zone as he continued to attack and not settle for jump shots. Has the capability to fill it up and get hot. Needs to become more of a consistent finisher but did a good job getting to the paint and rim.
Miles Ezell
Miles Ezell
Ezell controlled the tempo of the game for Bourbon County as he was in constant attack mode all night. He utilized his extreme quickness and speed to get out in transition and get to the paint. I really liked how he got to the paint and found shooters, especially earlier in the game. Could tell he was more comfortable shooting off the catch from 3pt but made a couple off the dribble. Was at his best all night getting to the rim.
Dumphord got it going as the game went on. He was forcing it a bit in the first half by taking tough shots but settled down and took advantage of some easy baskets he received from Ezell. Bourbon County loved playing in transition and he played a big part in it. Scott County had a hard time keeping him out of the paint.
Highlights
Nick Mosby
Nick Mosby
Mosby had his hand in every part of the game for Scott County. He was really impressive defensively getting in passing lanes and leading the break in transition. Played extremely hard and really competed. He made some tough shots using his length in the paint and also showed his 3pt range knocking down some shots. Seemed like he was involved in every play all night. Really good performance.
Micah Glenn
Micah Glenn
Glenn had a good scoring performance. He both took and made tough shots, especially in the mid-range. He did a good job getting to his spots and scoring over length. Overall did a good job dealing with the pressure of the quick guards Bourbon County had as he had to handle most of the load handling the ball. Showcased why he is one of the best scorers in the state.
