Kyle Eaton, 5’8 G – Champlain Valley Union High School Class of 2024
Eaton comes equipped with impressive agility and hustle. He utilizes those traits constantly as he hounds ballhandlers or when he’s rotating in a defensive scramble. His closeouts are quick and choppy, and it seems he has a positive wingspan with his long arms. Offensively he’s got a quick trigger and heats up like a microwave. Eaton is comfortable at the 1 or the 2 and plays each effectively.
Will Hughes, 5’10 G – BFA St. Albans Class of 2024
A natural PG with a ton of grit, Will Hughes gets after it. He’s a pest defensively with his length and quickness, plus he’s a strong rebounding guard. Offensively he loves to get out in transition with strong finishes at the cup and well-timed passes to fellow lane runners. In the halfcourt he puts a ton of pressure on the rim while making simple, basketball plays. Will plays at a high gear.
Deng Aguek, 5’9 G – South Burlington High School Class of 2025
With a tight handle and a knack for creating space, Deng is a certified three-level scorer. Yet he’s smart with his shot selection, making for efficient production. Moreover, he’s a heads-up passer and sees back cuts + relocating shooters instinctively. Defensively, Deng has great athleticism and is long, making him a strong full-court defender. Aguek can’t be slept on.
Sam Barber, 5’10 G – Fair Haven Union High School Class of 2023
Barber has been cooking with gas lately. He’s a bucket off the catch, especially from deep, and he seems unbothered by defenders closing out. But he’s not just a shooter. Sam gets to the iron with decisive drives into gaps, reading defenses quickly and attacking weak spots. He guards 1-3, is pesky, and transitions instantly from defense to offense and vice versa. He’s been locked in.
Kerrick Medose, 5’10 G – St. Johnsbury Academy Class of 2025
A savvy combo-guard with good instincts at the PG position, Medose can pick teams apart in a few ways. He’s a good facilitator and sees passing lanes moments before they open up. Yet he’s also a good off-ball player, reading screens well and making wise cuts into the paint. Defensively strong, Kerrick uses his sturdy frame and footwork to defend 1-3, plus he hits the boards. Keep watch.
Owen Eaton Owen Eaton 6'2" | CG Rice Memorial | 2025 State NLG , 5’11 G – Rice Memorial High School Class of 2025
The sixth man for a deep Rice squad, Owen can really spark the Green Knights. Eaton has explosive offensive abilities with his athletic slashes, heads-up ball movement, and shooting stroke. He reads defenses in an instant and has the skill to exploit teams in both the halfcourt and transition. His defense is gritty, and I’ve seen some big-time blocks with his impressive elevation and timing. Owen’s got game.
Liam Howrigan, 6’0 W – BFA St. Albans Class of 2023
If you’re looking for an absolute dog, Liam’s your guy. Howrigan plays hard every second he’s on the court. He’s in passing lanes, in the mix for 50/50 balls, and will sacrifice his body for boards and charges. Offensively he’s intent on getting to the cup and he uses his strong frame to bully smaller defenders. Defensively he can go 2-4 and will go head-to-head with anyone. Love his mentality.
Andrew Tringe, 6’7 F – Montpelier High School Class of 2023
Tringe is as long as they come. He utilizes that length well as an interior defender, bothering shots simply with his presence, and he gets his hands on lots of post entries. Moreover, Andrew cleans the glass well and hits quick outlets for this fast-paced Montpelier squad. He runs the floor hard, can occupy the post or the perimeter on O, and his touch is coming along both inside and out. Tringe does a little of everything.
Will Ameden, 6’3 W/F – Burr and Burton Academy Class of 2023
A swiss army knife for the BBA Bulldogs, Ameden can really fill a stat-sheet. First, he’s an adept scorer with his post repertoire. Will has drop steps, step throughs, and crafty footwork otherwise to create space around the iron. Plus, he’s a savvy slasher, using nice pace and his strength to finish inside, and his vision is all there when the defense collapses. Ameden ruggedly defends 3-5, cleans glass and facilitates on O; he’s an all-around gamer.
Phil Bean, 6’1 W/F – Fair Haven Union High School Class of 2025
Fair Haven’s tough interior presence has been on tear lately, showing he’s a double-double threat each game. He’s a tough post defender, usually taking opponents’ best forwards. Yet he’s shown nice perimeter instincts as well, getting into passing lanes and working through screens. Offensively he can play inside or out, but he gets most of his production in the various post positions. Keep an eye on Bean.
