Gabe Housewright
Gabe Housewright
Housewright is an inside out player that can consistently knock down shots on the perimeter. Housewright is an efficient scorer as he is shooting 58% from the field. He battles in the paint and puts himself in good position for put back opportunities. He hasn’t shot a lot of threes but he is more than capable of hitting them as he is shooting 45% from three. Once Housewright gets warmed up he starts to knock down his outside shots but it starts with his game on the inside. He is close to averaging a double-double and will start to see himself at the line more often as he is not shooting it well from the line. I look forward to seeing him improve this and start causing the opposing teams more trouble.
D’Aundre Samuels
D’Aundre Samuels
Samuels has had some breakout games even earning himself player of the game a hand full of times. He has good vision and sets his teammates up perfectly with his passes. His dribble is on a string which helps him when anticipating and hitting the cutter in stride. Samuels is a stat sheet stuffer as he is able to do it all for the Angels. On defense Samuels has been a pick-pocket coming up with a lot of steals, he is averaging 7 steals over the past 3 games. Keep your eye on him when you have the ball because it isn’t safe.
Tyler Miller
Tyler Miller
Miller caught some eyes with a recent OT thriller as he dropped 28 and the rams were able to squeak out the win by 2. Miller was able to get steals, transitioning those turnovers into points. He was finishing in the paint shooting 53% and got himself to the line a hand full of times shooting 75% from the line. Miller added a couple of threes in this game as well knocking down 3 of his 12 three point shots. Looking for Miller to start connecting on more of those three point shots as the season progresses.
Schmeeckle has turned it on lately with some breakout games for the Raptors. Schmeeckle is a good in the paint and is able to finish with either hand and against contact over the taller defenders. In transition he can push and get shots for himself being creative finishing at the rim. When Schmeeckle is able to draw contact and get himself to the line he is shooting at 77%. He is also able to knock down contested three point shots at times as well.
Highlights
Camden Bledsoe
Camden Bledsoe
Bledsoe had a breakout 30 point game recently where he showed that he is an overall well rounded post scorer and was a post scoring machine. Bledsoe was using hop and euro steps to make the defenders look silly while driving to the paint. He was living in the paint and that aggressiveness helped get him to the line where he shot 70% for the game. His season average so far this season is 77% from the line. Would like to see him convert more from the 3 point line as he is only shooting 11%.
