Tuesday Top EDC Producers

We are taking a look back at the EDC players that put up impressive numbers last night. Three of the games had large-margin victories and South lost by 12 across the river in Moorhead. See below for stats/numbers and comments. Klabo scored his 1,000th career point last night! He also just picked up another college offer, that gives him offers from NDSU, UNI, and UND. Mason is certainly a generational talent. A special athlete that has sprinter speed and is lightning-quick going side to side. Brown is an excellent defender that can keep his man in front and create havoc in the turnover game. He is beginning to figure out his role on the squad and is starting to flourish. Mitzel is a sneaky-good athlete that can get it done on D and provide some scoring. Another top-notch athlete for the Eagles. Yorke is dynamic in transition and a playmaker off the bounce. He has taken on some tough defensive jobs this season and has done well. Yorke has an excellent pull-up game, he is deadly from mid-lane. As a basketball fan, I wish he would shoot more! He dominated against rival Sheyenne and is an overall tough kid. Leal is averaging 14.6 ppg and 13 rpg. Tony "workhorse" Leal is looking like an All-EDC player at this point. This blue-collar grinder is a pleasant surprise in "Packer Land".   Nick Parries (2023) |5'11 G| West Fargo   14 pts. He has been the best backcourt scoring option for the Packers. As of now, Reis Mode is the leader of the pack for Senior Athlete of the Year in the EDC. Reis has been crazy-impressive so far and I do not see that going away. At 6'4" he can score over any guard that matches up and Reis has been amazingly effective at getting to the rim. Rowekamp is putting out highlight-reel dunks on the regular. Parks is a dual-threat scorer. He can score with power around the rim and produce with his mid-range jumper. Tough matchup, because Kraft and Rowekamp are also very talented. The Red River Rifle is a top PG in ND, he can shoot the lights out, and drop dimes like Trae Young. Good length for a PG, smart/heady, soft floater in the paint, crafty finisher. He takes charges, plays hard, is a great team player, and he can crush on the boards!   [player_tooltip player_id='1446632' first='Caden' last='Hockert'] (2023) |5'11 G| Wahpeton   20 pts, 3 reb, 1 ast. He can put up points in a hurry. Plays hard and knocks down triples.   Jackson Clooten (2023) |6'5 PF| Wahpeton   11 pts, 9 reb, 1 ast. He is solid scoring around the basket. Clooten is a BIG and a strong kid. He does a nice job on the O-glass. Manock is leading the State in rebounding at 13.7 rpg. He is strong and powerful. Manock is no stranger to splashy plays like 2-handed WHAMS and putback SLAMS. Impact Player! Does the little things and creates for others. 2-way player.   [player_tooltip player_id='1317710' first='James' last='Hamilton'] (2024) |6'4 G/F| Fargo South   22 pts, 6 reb, 1 ast, 1 stl. He is a volume number producer. James is always in attack mode and he constantly puts pressure on the defense. Hamilton is good around the rim and his short jumper in the lane might be the best around. Give this kid an inch and he will put up numbers that go a mile long. Long and athletic, has some serious scoring ability from beyond the arc.   Drew Shambaugh (2023) |6'3 G| Fargo South   10 pts, 1 reb, 1 ast. A long guard that can hit some shots. Hakim has loads of potential with his size and mobility. Hakim can be a difference-maker on both ends with his length and bounce. Vuciri might be the most underrated player in the EDC. Easily a top athlete in the State, you never know when he will make a splashy play. Tough to match up with because of his length/size/slashing. Committed to SDSU for hoops!   [player_tooltip player_id='1510902' first='Alex' last='Wheelock'] (2023) |6'0 G| Shanley   14 pts, 3 red, 5 ast, 2 reb. A cool PG that can direct traffic and dish out assists. Alex can score via the bounce and he is an excellent teammate.   [player_tooltip player_id='1207499' first='Kaden' last='Christmann'] (2024) |6'1 G| Shanley   12 pts, 3 reb, 5 stl. A well-put-together wing player. Kaden has a large amount of upside with his build, effort, and ability. I like his potential. He could be a super tough defender and a scary slasher/producer.   [player_tooltip player_id='1168300' first='Zach' last='Sykora'] (2024) |6'2 G| Valley City   21 pts, 1 reb. A super-competitor and a physical athlete. Zach will make hustle plays and also show off his skills and smarts. Sykora has a great work ethic and he will keep improving.   Carver Peterson (2024) |6'5 F| Valley City   12 pts, 1 reb, 1 ast. He looks to have some potential on the offensive end. Peterson has a good frame and a nice feel for the game. He can create for others and deliver dimes for good looks. Eggert can also knock down perimeter J's.
