Luke Fay Luke Fay 6'5" | PF Master's Academy | 2024 State CO – Palisade – 2024
Fay brings notable physicality to the table, standing right around 6’5. The 2024 forward possesses a very high release point on the jump shot, typically getting his looks from spot up opportunities. He is especially dangerous out of the mid-range, although he has increased the volume from beyond the arc. Although a small sample within 5A Western Slope, Fay is certainly one of the two or three best screen setters. Through his season 8-9 Palisde, Fay has posted 14.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game while converting 59% of twos and 45% of three point attempts.
Sim Wenger – Glenwood Springs – 2024
The 2024 guard is up with the top scorers within the 5A Western Slope league, at 12.5 points. Standing right around 6’3, Wenger seeks out contact down below the basket. Certainly a fairly efficient scorer in the paint, he has quick footwork allowing to breeze past likesize opponents. Through his junior season with 10-7 Glenwood Springs, Wenger has posted 12.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game with 45% efficiency on twos.
Nicolaus Von Stralendorff Nicolaus Von Stralendorff 6'5" | SF Eagle Valley | 2023 State CO – Eagle Valley – 2023
The 2023 wing is likely the top overall prospect within this conference from this point, possessing excellent mobility and touch at the wing position. Standing right around 6’5, Von Stralendorff does his part moving off the ball to either get open or crash the glass. What sets apart Von Stralendorff from others is his ability to make tough jumpers off of movement. There are few athletes at his height outside the Front Range who possess his shotmaking skill. Through his senior year with Eagle Valley, the wing has put up 10.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game.
Whit Hyde – Battle Mountain
Hyde is an excellent playmaker within fast break situations, capable finishing above the defense with ease. The 6’2 guard consistently pushes the break and fills open space, most dependable with the right hand in traffic. Through Hyde’s season with Battle Mountain, he has put up 12.7 points and 3.7 rebounds per game.
Josh Zotto – Palisade – 2023
Zotto is another fairly stong forward at 6’4, possessing great timing as a roller. He has mastered the art of slip screens, diving to rim with pace before his man has time to react. In his senior year with Palisade, Zotto has put up 7.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game while converting 58% of shots inside the arc.
Argeny Renteria Argeny Renteria 6'3" | SF Glenwood Springs | 2024 State CO – Glenwood Springs – 2024
Renteria is a selfless athlete who does the little things that benefit winning. Standing right around 6’3, the junior guard brings constant energy on the offensive side, fearing nobody on the glass. Given his above average height, Renteria can see above the defense and maximizes his vision through well timed passes to backdoor cutters. Through his season with Glenwood Springs, Renteria has put up 6.9 points and 5 rebounds per game while converting 48% of twos.
