A new group of forwards was added to the 2023 rankings at midseason. Some of these guys have been longtime producers, while a few have burst suddenly on the Kansas varsity scene.

41 - [player_tooltip player_id='1748987' first='Tavian' last='Cruse'], 6-foot-4 forward, 2023, Bonner Springs:

Talk about a guy exploding in his senior year. Cruse is doubling his stats from a year ago. At the midpoint of the season, he's averaging 15 points and 13 boards, as well as 3 assists for the Braves. He's a big-bodied post who just has a knack for rebounding. He gets in great position, tracks the ball, and has soft hands. He runs the floor and can shoot it enough from deep that he can spot up and draw defenders out.

60 - [player_tooltip player_id='1747705' first='Blake' last='Garrett'], 6-foot-5 forward, 2023, Blue Valley North:

Last year was a bit of a rebuilding year for the Mustangs, and Garrett gained valuable experience. He's since taken off, becoming the leading scorer and rebounder for the second-ranked team in 6A. Garrett is averaging 13 points and 6 boards for the 9-0 Mustangs. He's a shot blocker too.

73 - [player_tooltip player_id='1624976' first='Davis' last='Rokey'], 6-foot-6 forward, 2023, Sabetha:

The number two team in 3A has several weapons. Rokey is the most dynamic with the length to make plays in the paint or shoot over a defense. He's a long, athletic wing who can run the floor and handle the ball.

104 - [player_tooltip player_id='1749040' first='Trevor' last='Cowman'], 6-foot-4 forward, 2023, Circle:

Circle has emerged as a team to watch in 4A, with Cowman leading the way. He's turned in some big games like the 31 he had against McPherson and 28 against Mulvane. He is a big, powerful man who moves without the ball to get shots on the perimeter and in the midrange. He's hit some clutch shots and finishes around the goal with power too.

105 - [player_tooltip player_id='1750179' first='Brant' last='Sipe'], 6-foot-4 forward, 2023, Haven:

The 9-0 Wildcats are rolling and look to be a player in 3A. Sipe is helping lead the way as a big, active playmaker at both ends. He's got a knack for coming up with the ball, whether it's ripping down a rebound or getting in the passing lane or knocking away an opponents' dribble. He's been a double-double threat every night.

108 [player_tooltip player_id='1749042' first='Conar' last='Harris'], 6-3 forward, 2023, Wichita Independent

109 [player_tooltip player_id='1749043' first='Malachi' last='Berg'], 6-foot-3 forward, 2023, Topeka West

121 [player_tooltip player_id='1749051' first='Eli' last='Brunk'], 6-foot-4 forward, 2023, Inman
